Trouble with Obsidian Gorge in Cadwell's Silver

I'm having trouble getting a check mark in Cadwell's Silver for Obsisian Gorge in Deshauun. The quest is highlighted white in Cadwell's Almanac like I've started it but no check mark. There are no more quest givers near Obsidian Gorge and I have completed the quests Death Trap, Payback, and Plague Bringer. According to online guides, these three quests are necessary and sufficient to complete this objective. I have no Obsidian Gorge quests remaining to abandon and start over and, as I said, there are no more quest givers in the area. The Obsidian Gorge icon on the map is black like I haven't completed it. Am I missing something or is this glitched? I need this to complete Cadwell's Silver. Thx in advance.

Sounds like it's glitched. Did you get the skill point and achievement (Plague Ender) for completing "Plague Bringer"? If so, submit a ticket to ZOS Support, tell them you've fully completed Obsidian Gorge (the achievement will prove it) and it hasn't been checked off properly. ZOS are also able to check your list of completed quests, I believe, so should be able to verify that Plague Bringer is done.

So I do not have the Plague Ender achievement. It says I have to kill Merdyndril but I have no quest marker to guide me. I have found online that she is in the alchemists lair, but I have no idea where this is. It has been a while since I did these quests, so I don't remember. Any ideas?

Is it possible you didn't complete Plague Bringer, and abandoned it? That quest starts from inside the Obsidian Gorge Cave, so you may have missed the quest-giver.
