second of all on xbox my max loading screen is about 20 seconds so that's also your internet connection who makes you wait longer

Yeah. I cant imagine anyone bouncing around the map that many times in an hour. Not unless theyre purposely doing it to rack up Loading Screen Time for a fictitious argument about loading screen times.

Well a general breakdown of my day to day routine goes more or less like this:

Character A - Log in (load screen). Collect hireling mail. Port to home faction zone to pick up daily writs (load screen).
Port to Craglorn to turn in writs (load screen). log out.

Character B - Log in (load screen). Collect hireling mail. Port to home faction zone to pick up daily writs (load screen). Port to Craglorn to turn in writs(load screen). log out.

Character C - Log in (load screen). Collect hireling mail. Port to home capitol to pick up daily writ and undaunted pledge (load screen). Port to Craglorn to turn in writs (load screen). Port to dungeon to complete daily pledge (load screen). Port back to capital to turn in pledge (load screen). log out.

That's a lot of load screens to get through just to get my dailies out of the way and that's with only three characters. Imagine how long it would take with eight or more. That's also assuming I don't get stuck in the infinite load loop or the game freezes up while loading and I have to force the client to close, restart it and sit through another series of load screens. It's getting to be a serious kill joy at this point.

this does take the longest amount of time i agree. but the loading screens aren't longer then 20 seconds

I was just commenting that assuming that the OP's claim is totally fictitious is a bit unfair. There are situations where going through numerous load screens in an hour is possible. Such as doing dailies with alts like I do or say if someone wanted to do a marathon of delves for the sake of map completion. It may not be a common place occurrence for everyone all the time but it can happen and it is more than a little irksome.

As for load times, sadly mine generally tend to be about 40ish seconds (sometimes more depending on time of day and just where I'm trying to load into).

Say long loading screens last a minute and there are 15 loading screens an hour... That's 15 minutes of "downtime" every hour... I play an average of 4 hours at a time. For a daily player, that's 1 hour of "downtime" every day. If ZOS maintenance decreases the loading screen "downtime" to 15 seconds per loading screen, that's less than 5 minutes of "downtime" an hour, saving over 40 minutes a session... Playing daily, that's 280 minutes a week... Almost 5 hours! With a 30 day month, that's 1200 minutes saved... That's 20 hours... 5 sessions... There's your "compensation." Thanks ZOS...

As a magicka nightblade, Im able to stealth pass almost all mobs.

So I get thru quests faster than those who dont, since mobs gives poor exp at Vet and quests are more efficient.

~ 1:30 on Ps4. Only since Imperial city. Connection tests with wire and WIFI, no difference.
2 tickets sent in, followed isntruction how to set up router, no difference.

Ever since it's like this I try to avoid changing zones at all costs. Beforehand I was happy to help guildies in crafting sets, nowadays it puts me out of game for minutes. Here, let me emphasize, not the minutes are the important part, but how it breaks the flow, constantly ending up in 1 min loading screens.

I find this unacceptable. I'd not care less if we had terrible graphics or lame story. But mechanical probs like this (and bugs) is totally souring the goal of the game for me : entertainment.

Admittedly, PVP button mashers don't encounter as many loading screens; but as you've seen from PvE'ers who do writs, pledges and PvE content, that IS about right....

Since IC every load screen (that's not in the same zone) brings up the unusually long load time, then loads

I'm probably missing something, but why do characters A and B port to their home faction to pick up writs? I was under the impression that it doesn't matter where you pick up writs, they will be appropriately leveled to that character's first passive in the given craft. Doesn't really matter with character C since you've gotta go pick up pledges anyway, but if all you're doing on a character is writs I don't think they ever need to leave whatever area they turn those writs in.

I have a couple characters that have pretty much just set up camp in the Belkarth bank. I just log in (load screen), run out and grab writs, craft whatever needs crafting, turn in writs, re-enter the bank, log out.

Can't pick up writs in Cadwell's Silver and Gold zones. So If one of those characters isn't in a home zone or Craglorn already I have to move them there in order to pick up the writs. Some days I save my self some time just going straight to Craglorn for the writs but occasionally I will do pledges on Characters A and B if it's a quick and easy one so sometimes I'd have to make the trip to a home capital.

Still, even if I do park characters A and B in Craglorn to save time, I'm still going to have sit through roughly eight or so load screens just to do my dailies across all three characters. That's also assuming everything goes well and I don't get any random load screens while trying to move around town, crash or get disconnected and kicked back to the log in screen.

My point was just to show that multiply load screens in a short amount of time can happen as a part of a normal gameplay sometimes. It may not happen for everyone all the time but can and does happen. To say that it can't and/or to insinuate that anyone who claims it does is making it up or doing something wrong is untrue.

Nice thought, but I'm replying to it while I'm sitting looking at a massively long loading screen...

In the interest of full disclosure, I found the initial load screen to be as long, or even longer, than before the extended downtime... However, I found subsequent load screens fewer and farther between, as well as significantly shorter in duration... I'm told this is because part of the upgrade allows your computer to pre-load a larger amount of data faster...
