Now I don't care either way but I just read this post from October 6th.
Now we now Orsinium is not updating the gear and he did say max lvl(vr). So next year maybe they will be updating the gear to the max VR lvl wich means vet ranks are here to stay.

✭✭I just want my Elite PvP vendor gear ranked up to Vr16 asap.
Vet ranks do not bother me and do not care if they stay or go however.Once I was a lamb, playing in a green field. Then the wolves came. Now I am an eagle and I fly in a different universe.

I don't care either, But god dam a lot of people outside the game won't even touch ESO with a ten foot poll because of them.
Also elite gear PVP should have been updated with the so called "PVP" update
