It's enough to nearly sign off permanently, all those hours I spend doing the right thing and some half cashed up fool can go get a fat cash injection with a few hundred bucks?
Ergh, I give up.
Normal for online games, not just this one. ZOS has done a pretty good job of getting rid of the farmbots and spammers.
At the original launch, you couldn't get a word in edgewise between gold selling spammers in zone. Everyone's Ignore list was filled with them...literally.
Bot trains were a common sight, mostly Templars spamming jabs lol. You couldn't get near a delve boss for the farmers killing it as soon as it spawned for gold and items to sell.
You still see a bot occasionally but it's more rare now.
BTW, you can also buy gold on EBay lol
Absolutely shameless. I've discovered some using dating websites to attract attention for rings of Mara too

That sounds like something a bot creator would say...FriedEggSandwich wrote: »Does supply exist without demand? Saw some bots last week in a cadwells silver zone. A v9, a v12 and a v14 farming v1 mobs with jabs.
I farm mobs with jabs. I run in the same pattern and timing, sometimes for hours (while "working" from home). I am not a bot. Just saying, what you saw doesn't necessarily mean bots..
IIf my memory serves me correct. Gold sellers spammed pc chat during the first 1-2 months the game was out.

So, I wonder myself if these gold sellers even have any customers for this game.

Well, that was fast, I think Zen should start selling gold in Crown Store, max 1 mill.IKilled007 wrote: »There's nothing to buy though, since everything decent is bind on pickup.
I sell 100k worth of silk every day.
I'd be cautious on that. While I deeply believe they improved their bot-detection routines (apart from manual reports), I remember myself being suspected of gold-selling/bot activity shortly after launch as I farmed gold massively (had 250k around 40-45th level and lots of materials). While all the farming was 100% legitimate (kill mobs, sell trash, farm materials, refine materials, sell wax/rosin/alloy in guild stores etc.), this was the result. So, be double cautious when dancing with real bots.I farm mobs with jabs. I run in the same pattern and timing, sometimes for hours (while "working" from home). I am not a bot. And omg it was awful! Using zone chat was pretty much impossible thanks to the spam bots flooding the channel with advertisements. Then there were bots camping the delve bosses making it near impossible land a hit and get credit for clearing the blasted thing. Let's also not forget the farming bots fly through the sky or under the ground warping to harvest nodes and the massive bot trains running amuck across map zones. It was so bad that pretty much as soon as one was booted another was instantly there to take it's place.
Dark times I hope never to see again.
