What to do with AP nowadays?

With all these new sets from I.C. and the possibility of crafting/acquiring lvl 16 gear, what itens are still worth getting from Cyrodill sellers and it's "mysterious"4-itens-set-possible boxes?
I am a stam NB vet 16 and enjoy the PVP in Cyrodill but I think I am not benefiting from the amount of time playing/rewards equation like my friends who farm I.C. nonstop are.
Bottom line: should I wait untill they "upgrade" the inventory of the Cyrodill AP currency based sellers and only then spend my 1M APs?
