Destro Staff vs Resto Staff for Magicka Regen

For my templar, I run a ranged and melee bar. For melee i use dual wield. For ranged, I've been flipping back and forth between destro and resto staff. I only use class skills for dps. I find dark flare superior to all the destro staff ranged dps attacks and for aoe, i just use puncturing sweep.
The destro staff passive allows for faster heavy attacks while the resto staff passive allows you to gain 30% more magicka per heavy attack. My question is, which weapon nets more magicka regen?

Stannum✭✭✭✭Resto staffAs you're tamplar and use only class skills most of your dmg is magic not elemental, so you should focus CP on taumaturgy that effects resto staff dmg.
Resto has good bonus for regain magika with heavy, when destro returns lots of magika on destro skills kills, so if you do not use destro skills resto is more efficient.
