Hell yes. That way people can some what stop complaining, and so we know that we are actually being heard. It seems like some elementary school idea but hey, maybe this community (including myself) needs it!

I think a large part of the friction between us and Zeni is we don't feel updated enough. Sure there's ESO Live, but it barely covers the important topics we care about. The fan art is cool, I guess.
It wouldn't hurt to have a sticky with a list of things they're aware of and what's being worked on, or never going to change. If we know something isn't going to happen, we can shut up about it then.

    Communication = increased customer satisfaction
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    Oh my...

    A billion times YES.

Same thing with absolutely ALL projects: as long as you don't tell us, we can't know what you are doing, or even if you're doing something in the first place.

I've seen so many projects fail simply because the customer received a below average quality software after 3 months of having no information at all whatsoever, only to have a "this is not what I wanted". Good luck telling the dude that "but this is what you want!", because it won't work 80% of the time (at best).

    Also, all of the above.

It wouldn't do any good. They would say one thing, do another, or fall short of the promises made and then that would *** players off. The fewer promises they make the better they look.
That which we obtain to cheap we esteem to lightly, it is dearness only that gives everything its value.

LOL. I don't think that would prevent endless whining threads starting with (at best) "please reconsider".

Furthermore, ZOS will never do that, given the propension of players to take a "maybe", or a "we're discussing/considering it" or a "we're looking into it" as a promise set in stone.

Even if ZOS commits to "firm promises", players aren't going to be happy with that and go on harassing ZOS with "when ?".

They wouldn't say they were going to do anything, just indicate they know about whatever issues or suggestions people frequently post about. In the case of issues (such as long loading screens) yes they would say a fix is in the works as they are actually working on it but in the event of people asking for PvP Arenas they would say something like "we hear you but we currently have no plans to release anything like this" if they intend to say anything at all and not just create a topical list of what they hear from us.

wondering why it has not been implemented in the last year or so!

    its like a basic function.

there are ipad games, they have stickies on their forums...........

and why you are changing the forum structure. maybe make different colors for your Z's

tired of opening posts with a Z , to just find out it was one of your paid babysitters...

Won't happen. New players posting the same old things makes it look like the forums are live and we'll. Go through, delete all threads that have another one on the same topic. Then get rid of all the pointless polls they never pay attention too on top of all the threads that are just junk. Clean all the threads that are just complaints and leave ones that actually have usefully conversations. It would be a ghost town here in days.

He'll even zos posts more on reddit or other sites more than they do here. If they wanted to help the game they would close the forum altogether.

Unless what they communicate isn't what the customer wants. Remember back when CP was announced. The whole keep playing it will make a difference! That bit them HARD.

Them being quiet about their plans means they don't have to put out fires if things change.

Yep. Feel like they should let us know.

They wonder why they get repeat threads. lol Search ANY issue on forum and it'll span back a while with gazillions of threads.
If your group is bigger than 6 members gain 75% damage reduction.

Write this on the back of your box and see how many sales you get!

You won't get any new PvP players until this archaic AoE crap is fixed.
I for one won't resub until:
    1.) You fix lag.
2.) You remove AOE caps we voted against.
3.) 12 months have passed (this is how long we've waited for you to 'get with it')[/b]

    Community communication DLC coming soon™

In all seriousness, they need to get on this. They need people who understand the metagame to communicate with us and then relay information back and forth between us and the developers. Having community managers is cool and all, but they don't seem to understand the game in a deep enough level. No amount of ESO Live's with bear pets will improve the game. Sorry @ZOS_GinaBruno! We still love you and ESO Live though!

ZOS does not have to post in the thread, but a simple thread title, "We want feedback on this topic..." or "We are thinking about doing this, please provide some feedback on it." They can"lurk" and watch us as we talk about the topic.

In an ideal world that would be the solution.
But this is an online massive multi player game and the thread they created would have to be constantly checked by mods to keep them from turning into x is op, Nerf this and that.

They HAVE stickied threads in the past, especially on PTS, both for soliciting feedback and for providing it. Most the times the threads end up going nowhere since people like, well I won't point fingers.... take it upon themselves to answer and troll over other people there who are trying to post information for legitimate feedback and conversation.

If you want to see threads like this, you need to first learn how to use them.
