The political situation is that the guilds run the show on all alliances. Now, I think 9 out of 10 times the guilds do what is best for the guild (obviously) and that will coincide with what the map needs for the particular alliance. But there is always that one time where guilds might run off to get their AP or have a jolly good 'ole time somewhere and it will affect the alliance and map at that very moment.

I can't speak to ALL the guilds in ESO because they are numerous and I have no idea who they are or what they do. But to the larger more prominent guilds (the PvP ones) it is in my opinion that is a clown show. Its always that one court jester leading the show and he/she wields power because a flock of players are not too far behind.

Right now EP can paint a map red on many campaigns. The AD can as well, but maybe as of right now can't extend their arms quite as far as the EP in terms of shear numbers. The DC of course, are outnumbered against red and yellow more often than not. There are times when in Azura's and Trueflame DC can have equal populations. But that's not to say its an equal amount of DC not in Imp City fighting the wave of red and yellow above ground in Cyrodiil.

There are really FOUR alliances in ESO. Daggerfall Covenant, Ebonheart Pact, Aldmeri Dominion, and Publius Scipio. See, I didn't come from the world of online games, I don't have this opinion (a crazy one at that) that these players, guild leaders are some cream of the crop celebrities or something. I have ripped dissident DC, and anyone who has been to the forums know I have ripped EP and AD en masse! No one can deny that.

You want the real distilled idea of politics in ESO? The real hard truth? You have one "leader" running around barking orders through a TS and all the lemmings following. Give me the gear, maybe even some more champ points, and I can sit there and follow "orders" from the "leader" just like the rest of the chooches. I will press that key firing off that skill as good as anyone gosh darnit!!!

I HAVE SINCE BETA ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAY ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS SPOKE ABOUT THE COVENANT AND WHAT'S BEST FOR IT. I never sat myself in front of the computer and mindlessly farmed for hours on end. I never ran around with the idea of maximizing AP. It was, is, and always will be what does THE COVENANT need on the map at that very moment.
