Don't know why I have read a few times about the graphics on ESO for consoles

I am an XB1 owner\player and so from PC to PS4 to XB1 I have the worst graphics if PS4 is slightly better looking (thats another debate and so please ppl dont go off topic here) but I have to say from the few things I have read posts and reviews (I am fairly new to this game and loving it) the graphics are amazing imho.
I mean I have just come to Bleakrock village and its visually outstanding on my 46" Samsung -m I mean I am looking at it think this is what Skyrim should have looked like and still has qualities of Morrowind times 10 for the current level of games

The argument used is that there are other games on the newest generation consoles with better graphics. What isn't understood or acknowledged by those arguments is the fact that ESO is an MMO, which means ESO has to cope with the presence of multiple other players. Other games don't have to worry about that at all, or only have to worry about a limited number of other players. I was pleasantly surprised by the console graphics to be honest.

Can't speak for the Xbox One, but on the PS4 at 1080p, I would say the graphics are quite comparable to a good mid-range PC. I came to the PS4 from the a decent PC and the only difference I really see at 1080p is in draw distances. The graphics are really quite nice on the PS4. The draw distances are a little shorter, but not enough to be distracting. The only things I really miss from the PC version are add-ons and zone chat.

Obviously if you want to game at higher than 1080p, a good higher-end PC rig would look better. But for 1080p, I think the consoles are just fine graphics-wise.

Yeah I totally understand the MMO not quite the refinement of other RPG but it is dealing with a MAAHOOOSIVE playground of a sandbox open world where hundreds of others are in - so I actually say what I am looking at right now is extremely impressive!
The only criticism I have is there is a lack of feeling of battle contact, and by that I mean the animations don't quite make you feel that power attack making contact or viceversa - think ZOS could have done more to make use of the rumble aspect of the controller, and better animation for stagger and blood etc
