PC NA No Stamina Regen while sneaking?!

Hey all, I was sneaking around in Rawlkha this morning and had 0 Stamina regen while sneaking. Has anyone else noticed this? I just put a point in my Legerdermain Hiding skill at it's at 30% Stamina reduction costs to sneak. Is the server lagging that bad that regen stops completely until you stop moving as that seemed to be the only time my Stamina regenerated.

Stamina regen while sneaking was a bug, it's been fixed, you are not meant to regen stamina while sneaking. The hiding skill reduces the amount of stamina each second of sneaking uses so you can say In sneak for longer, you are not meant to be n sneak permanently.

Says who???????? I can regen stamina in combat, so why would stamina regen not be allowed while sneaking? From my understanding, only block prevents stamina from regenerating.

Should just only drop but not to 0 regen

It supposed to drop it to zero while your moving to prevent people from being able to just move around in sneak without needing to stop.

The mechanics of this seem to work differently in Cyrodil vs out of it. In Cyro I can walk in stealth and regen stamina so basically do it endlessly. So yet in Rawl, why would I run out just walking around in Stealth the exact same thing I'm doing in Cyrodil????

It's obvious. Cyrodiil no longer as torch bugs, so sneaking is easier and relaxing. It can rejuvenate you. Everywhere else still has torch bugs, and it takes a lot of concentration and energy to stay hidden while their glow is trying to give you away. You can't relax so you can't regen.

I mean really, you act like there might be inconsistencies in the game mechanics. The game has been out for a very long time and there's never been issues.

Basically you don't regenerate stamina while doing anything that uses it - running, dodging, blocking, sneaking.

Unlike say health or magicka where you are just fine to regenerate those stats while block casting or taking DOTs (for example).

Apparently it's called game design and people get paid for it...

Yeah, I have full medium armor (all 7 pcs), 4 pts in Hiding from Legerdemain, and on 100 cp pts in the SHADE under the Shadow Champion tree which is supposed to give you max, 16%, to reduce your sneak cost, but here it is I tested it and you always get a Sneak cost no matter what.

It looks like the 100 cp that gives 16% actually only gives half, so 8% max.

There is only one way to not get a Sneak cost, and I shouldn't do this but what the hell it's been awhile, like a year, and alot of people already know of this,

"Watch this now, ZOS will Nerf this set now.."

You need to wear a 3 pc set of this,

It drops Max Vr10, keep that in mind.

When I wear a 3 pc set (1 necklace, green, and two daggers, which I upgraded to legendary a long time ago) I get a 25% decrease cost to Sneak. Also the tool tip on the picture is incorrect, it only gives max of 2 meters Decrease in detection radius.

But the most awesome thing about having all the above (7 pc Medium, 4 skill pts in Hiding in Legerdemain) and wearing the 3 pc Nightshade set...

You actually get stamina back while Sneaking, yes I said it, While Sneaking. It is not much, like 10-15 every 2 secs or so, but you don't incur a cost so you can just keep on sneaking forever.

I use the Nightshade set for stealing and I can zip around on my Nightblade and steal to my hearts content while in SNEAK, and the " 2 meters Decrease in detection radius" adds a buffer to getting seen by NPC's which helps Khajiit's or Bosmer's be even sneakier..

Its pretty stupid that it does that as well.

I PVP'd over the weekend and while moving in Stealth I would regenerate Stamina ever two seconds. The issue is that Stamina wasn't regenerating at ALL while in Rawlkha sneaking around. I wasn't using Rapids, just overall sneaking while moving, EXACTLY like I was in PVP. It wasn't a slower Regen, it was 0 the entire time until I ran out of Stamina and came out of stealth. In Rawlkha, the ONLY time stamina would regenerate is when I wasn't moving in Stealth.

@ZOS_GinaBruno, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom, @ZOS_RichLambert are the mechanics for Stamina Regeneration different in Towns while moving in stealth than that of Cyrodil? I was constantly walking around in stealth in Rawlkha watching my Stamina drain all the way down to 0 as Stamina didn't regenerate once while moving. I didn't have any problems with Stamina Regen while moving in stealth in Cyrodil while PVPing over the weekend. So either there's a different mechanic for outside of Cyrodil within Towns or the Stamina Regen is broken for PVE.

WHY wouldn't sneaking cause you to run out of Stamina? It has a cost, obviously it's going to use up that resource if you continuously use it. Thus, while you are sneaking- the moment you STOP- Stamina regen begins... the moment you move again while sneaking, the regen stops until your character stops.

This is how it's supposed to be. Try walking around when crouched and let us know how long you make it before you have to stop and rest for a minute. Make sure you're loaded with gear and weapons as well.

If you want to regen Stam while sneaking just use a Stam regen drink (drink, NOT potion).

Low stamina regen when you sneak or sprint ZoS ideas even tho u invested in regen build...

What really sucks is if you go into sneak right after a battle when you're already low on Stamina... as soon as you move in sneak... your 'out of combat' regen just stops until you stop moving.

Why would a Regen Drink return Stamina if the mechanic is designed to not regenerate Stamina while sneaking?

For additional information, in Cyrodil my Stamina bar gets to 97% while moving in stealth and then pops back up to 100% with the 2 second regen when constantly moving. I can consistently move in Stealth and never run out of Stamina in Cyrodil yet generate NO Stamina while moving in Stealth in Rawlkha.

The whole issue here is that I had 0 Regen while moving in Stealth in Rawlkha yet when moving in Stealth in Cyrodil I still do have Stamina Regenerate every 2 seconds. Regeneration wasn't working at all in Rawl. Why would there be two separate mechanics for Stamina Regeneration? It was like I was holding block(which I wasn't) while moving in stealth because of the NO Regeneration.

I tried this again last night as well and if I remember correctly, I had a Regen Drink on at both times yet would only generate Stamina moving in Stealth while in Cyrodil. I will test it for tonight with both drinks on and off.

I think if you get your stamina regen past 1200 you should be able to sneak in stealth w/o running out.

Exactly. And with Orc NB with Concealed Weapon slotted, I actually sneak faster than I run and my Stam seems to never go down if I'm using purple regen drink. Just saying, there are options.
