Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what damage of this skill is like if specced completely on the offense?

I would love to make a Retribution Paladin styled char. Or is the skill weak?

I can't answer your question because Im not 2h specced atm, but I want to say I really like that skill. It's probably the cheapest ultimate I know + it's not so mainstream as dawnbreaker.

personally i think its slightly weak,

I know a lot of tanks use it for the morph that gives reduced damage on how many people hit with the skill.

I played around with it in pvp but ended up dropping it for Dawnbreaker.

Hmm, yeah thats the thing. The fact it is so cheap is what draws me to it, I could use it very often. But i suppose for that cost its bound to be quite weak but you can use it 3 times before you get another ultimate off.

I wear 5heavy armor and it still does around 5k dmg (+33% from the morph) + around 1500 per tick after that (3 ticks I think). And it's almost all time up. I think it's ok.

Its basically like having an extra regular ability that doesn't cost you your primary resource.

But then again if three casts of it only equate to the power of 1 of the other ultimates then its pointless. But I suppose its a good gap filler when using a 2H so it could be quite good for sustained damage. Weave it in between my other 2h abilities sort of thing. Only thing i do not like about my DK was that there was no actual weapon attack ultimate.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. It may not pack as much of a punch as others but 5k is great given it is an aoe AND costs next to nothing. Yeah like you said its just like having an extra ability that you can throw in for free.

Yeah + I am tank specced, so I guess with more weapon dmg focus the number could go even up quite a bit.

Thats what I was thinking. I would love to wear medium armour with it for the extra damage but the idea of a 'Templar' in medium armour would bug the absolute hell out of me, haha. Thank you for your help, i think you have given me the courage to go through with my blood fuelled plan.

I play stamina templar from the beginning lol. What I think helps a lot is unlocking vigor. Still working on it. Then you have also some class stamina morphs like Biting Jabs or Power of the Light. I think it's perfectly possible to make it work if you want to play something that's not so mainstream.

Yeah exactly. I think it sounds promising. Looking forward to riding valiantly into battle. "get these mother f***ing nords off my mother f***ing castle" is what ill be thinking.

Meh, I am sure whatever it is can be resolved through proper positioning rather than using it thoughtlessly in the midst of battle.

If you use gap closer prior to this skill you pretty much cant miss from my experience.

I prefer the empowering sweep morph for my PvP magicka Templar. With light armor it provides much needed defense and has a chance to proc burning light on each tick I'm pretty sure. Damage isn't the greatest but it allows me to dive into a zerg, cast empowering sweeps and spam puncturing sweeps. With ~10 enemies nearby I become fairly invincible. I don't do that much damage but I can distract the middle of the zerg while my teammates take out the zerglings on the fringes. I'm playing on xbox so I can't give you any damage numbers, sorry.

If you're playing PvP go with empowering sweeps.

The problem of using sweep + ultimate is that puncturing sweep alone does not generate ultimate, so remember to use a medium heavy attack every 6 sec.
