There have been many occasions where I was working at a crafting station and someone would approach me and say something like: "Hey, while you're there, would you mind making me something?" And, of course, they expect you to have all the correct mats for what they want and know all the styles.

My most requested sets are: Kagrenac's Hope, Twice Born Star, & Armor Master on Xbox One.

Hunding's Rage was very popular but most can craft this set themselves by now. Will take another 3-6 months for the 8-9 traits required for the sets listed.

As a crafter I can only tell my perspective.

I did craft quiet every possible weapon or set from different quality.
Someone wanted me to craft low level Hundings/Ashengrip in purple with different traits. He payed it all in Gold.
Another random asked me to craft a V16 Glasit Nirn Resto staff with 6 traits. He gave me the mats (and I didn't betray him)

Quiet a few ask for single research items like training heavy armor or so.

As you can see, people do craft anything as long as noone fells short.

I've just dipped my fingers into crafting. I avoided it because in WoW world, I hated it. But I'm having a lot of fun doing it here! The researching is kinda laborious. But I wanted to do it because I wanted to rock a full Dunmer set. So far so good!

I am a "journeyman" crafter and I get a few requests for food from friends. my GM does set armor/weapon a lot. potions are not in very high demand based on what I have seen, shame I can make decent ones. wish there was a hireling for that as it is the biggest pain to get stuff for...

The worst of the non-crafters want multiply different set pieces, expect you to travel the whole world to the crafting stations, want it done NOW and think their 50 gold tip is more then enough.

Now I will tell you what I did before I maxed crafting:

'Can you please make me some armor in this and that style so I could try them on before crafting a piece in that style? CC:'

'Oh that style doesn't fit my character, can you craft daedric boots, primal belt, alter shoulders, and a heavy shoulder in khajiit style? Or no, wait, make that barbaric medium chest. I wonder what xivkyn would look like too.. Brb going to IC. What styles do you even have again?'

'DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS STYLE PLS'

'Hey can you craft me this and that set, I wanna try sth out'

'Oh damn, you are missing one trait. Can you research that for me? CC:'

'I get you all the mats! (And then hope they say no, it's fine, I got them all)'

And as I maxed crafting and got my own styles etc., I was a final pain in the ass for a drunken guy who I randomly picked up a conversation with;

'Can you craft me all pieces for research?' and he replied with 'SURE!'
