Secure trades?

As it stands right now the trade window is not secure. Player A places item or gold in window and waits. Player B places item in window and accepts trade. Player A removes gold or item and accepts trade. Player B gets ripped off instantly.

Solution is a cobfirmation popup. Are you sure you want to accept this trade? Both pkayers have to confirm.

@ZOS_GinaBruno any word on this? Specifically PS4?

When player A removes gold or item player B must reconfirm accept by re-clicking the button. If this is not happening on your screen than I would send a report. Even if you've already accepted the trade and the window is blued, it goes away the second anyone removes an item and you have to click accept again. I am on pc and wonder if this is a console specific bug or exploit perhaps.

Last time I traded if someone removed something from the trade it reset all the accepts and you had to click it again.

It needs to be better, there needs to be an option for crafter to take stuff from bank of the player hes crafting for. Ive crafted tons of stuff lately as theres massive demand for them on PS4 and not many people want to give me all their VR15-16 mats, only solution is that they give access to their bank for us crafters or then if both players click the crafting station, crafter can use stuff from both inventories. I think latter is better, access to bank is too much, people would hack through it.

I think one solution for this would be to make a "commission" crafting window. It could work something like this.
1. Crafter clicks on crafting bench to open the crafting window
2. Customer clicks on the Crafter and opens the commission window - Maybe have a "Looking for work" tag??
3. Crafter would select the item the customer wants
4. Customer places the mats in the window, including the payment (gold)
5. Customer confirms the item and clicks on "accept"
6. Crafter confirms the mats and payment and click on "accept"
7. Crafter then makes the requested item
8. Once the item is crafted the finished item goes into the inventory of the customer and the Gold into the inventory of the crafter.
The entire time the "commission" window would stay open. Any changes made to the window after either party has accepted would cause each person to "accept" again.
Once both parties have accepted the crafting can not be canceled.

I'm sure there is a lot more that can go into it but this is just a quick workup.

The trade window works fine. The accept button un-highlights when any changes are made.

Well it did not make me acceot again. I got ripped off. Figured i would make a post suggesting an ez fix. Its obviously broken.

Also this had nothing to do with crafting. I was selling a stack of mats. Happened exactly as described in OP. I consider it a learning experience but still should not have ever happened.

This doesn't sound right. If anything changes for either player (items added or removed) the confirmation button becomes active and both players must re-confirm

There must be some kind of bug with the system. My side went blue. He removed gold and accepted very fast. Mats gone and i got no gold.

Did the person take away whatever RIGHT BEFORE you hit accept? that is the only reason I can think about where this would happen now. One of the oldest tricks in the book.

Perhaps some players have found an exploit. Definitely report this. I've heard similar things in the past happening and if is an exploit the scammers must be keeping it under wraps

I really didnt care enough to report it or to chase him down as he ran off. Just making a suggestion \ warning to any who care. As for the guy removing right before i accepted that is possible. Again it could all be solved with a simple yes\no popup to confirm trade

Had samething happen to me on ps4. Lost a 1,000 gold I just stopped using the trader system to avoid this happening again

The mail system cash on delivery is your friend as the person has no choice but to pay the full amount but watch out not to use it for huge amounts, if you do that you will be charged an increased postage fee based on how much you request and it is apparently non refundable even if it gets returned. ZOS making us PAY for security bah!
