read your first two posts and pretend you can't hear a tone of voice for a minute cause you're reading text on the internet, count the !'s and tell me if your post looks hostile to begin with. Cause that's what your entire post was perceived as with how it was presented.0 -
M_TeK_9✭✭✭The unexpected down time isn't that big of a deal, but players without access to PC or mobile browser would never know about this because they weren't informed via the game and because the ps4 browser is crap. And I wouldn't be angry but I was cut off from my first time fighting last boss on vet WGT. Honestly my main issue here has changed to the embarrassing fact that people are defending an obvious ethical error in business and customer service. Clearly a motd in-game should have been made and you people have your noses so far up zos's ass you might as well be a POS. It scares me to know that this planet spawns living beings who when presented with a situation involving a clear wrong choice will defend the decision no matter how wrong the choice obviously was. It's a haunting thought about north american culture and why it's OK to openly be an idiot.

✭✭✭✭✭ALL I WAS SAYING IS why cant it be posted on the launcher or log in screen no need to attack me im just asking a question if it cant be done fine but if it can it would inform everyone without having to log in to there browser and wast valuable game time im not grumby over maintenance i would just like to know in a timely fashion whats going on so i can schedule my day around it thats all but i am getting grumpy now that im being attacked for asking a simple question
Tip of the day : if you want to ask a genuine question and expect a genuine answer, you should not start with "this is BS...", and carry on with "this is unacceptable". Since all this is more a judgement than a question.

Scheduled the maintenance at the last second? Hardly. Top of the screen on the forums, huge yellow box, says Maintenance for the week of October 19.It has been up there for days now. Goes on to tell you what servers and time the server is being shut down for maintenance. Forums are a place for information like this.
All that said... I have to agree ZoS should put something on the launcher as a reminder for maintenance day and time. But they did not pull this at the last second to be fair also.0 -

Oh, so you know for a fact that it was not there but then it was after a specific time? Hate to tell you, but that has been posted for several days. Hiding behind your job and using that as an excuse to be uninformed is not ZOS's fault. Read the forums more often. There is nothing unreasonable about asking to have messages in the launcher regarding scheduled maintenance. If they they advertise useless crown items, they could add information about planned server maintenance. I don't know if any of the advertisements in the launcher are dynamic. If they are just locally stored messages, then maybe they need up update their launcher.
Currently, it is possible that all the launcher does is check if the server is up or not for "Realm Status". To know it is down for maintenance reasons would require the launcher having someplace to check for that additional info. It would be nice to have that, but it is far from outrageous to not have it.

✭Hey Gina how about next time you guys shut down the game for hrs how about posting it on the launcher that there will be maintenance? i had to come here to the forums to find out that there's maintenance going on a tuesday!?!? Ive been playing for over a yr now and we usually have maintenance on mondays so if zos is going to change things maybe they could inform the players a little better???
