It seems the RNG loves you for some things and hates you for others in this game.

I remember when Nirncrux came out. I found one on my first ever trip to Craglorn. Then it took me MONTHS to find another one.

The Psijic Fragments were a nightmare for me. I had done the writs on 7 toons daily for a month and a half before I got one. Then I got two the next day. Then nothing forever. And then one here and there (though I'm only doing the writs on my provisioner now).

Glass fragments, I've put together three pages so far, but that's because a friend sends me the fragments they get. They have one toon they do writs on. I have 7 (though I haven't been able to do all daily), and they still seem to get more fragments than I do.

Meanwhile, I seem to have reasonable luck with getting gold tempers from hirelings, as well as getting Kuta from the Enchanting writs.

So I just accept the fact that I'm going to be lucky sometimes and unlucky other times and go on with my day...

Woot! Got a Kuta from my hireling today and 1 Rosin!

I'm pretty sure he's talking about from writs. I get Kutas every now and then from hirelings, but it's very very rare. It's much more common to get them from writs. Heck, I once got 5 Kutas from a single writ - one as a reward for the writ itself, and a survey from the writ that I got 4 more from (2 of the nodes each had 2 Kutas). Granted, that's super ridiculous luck on that one writ, but between the chance of straight-up getting a Kuta as a writ reward and the chance of getting Kutas in enchanting surveys, writs are by far the best method of getting them.

I've had several 5 Kuta from one character days like that. I do the enchanting Writs on all my alts daily and get 3-4 Kuta a day on average. I have over 70 of them at the moment. Enchanting is easily the most profitable writ because it gives you all the mats you need to complete it and has a high rate of giving you Kuta.

I used to do the provisioning writs daily but they became so tedious over 4-5 characters. Do you do any others besides the enchanting? @Ezareth

I hate crafting writs. Before the great hireling nerf/crafting writ implementation, kutas were trading at about 2 to 2.5k.
Last time I checked they were close to 7k.

Pre IC about 5k..

The issue is (I think) fixed. I only have max extraction on my 2 main chars and I've recieved a kuta from the mail recently for one of my lowbie alts who doesn't.

Put it this way, I slowly gathered 34 Kuta's before Imperial City was released. When Imperial City was released, I got a total of 1 Kuta in over 2 months now.

It's ridiculous, in fact, I have none left in my bank because of it. I'm going to fire my hirelings and spend the skill points on something else.

Dozens? That implies at least 24, I have had one and others have had none.

I suspect a lie, or something's wrong with the coding.

I think everyone should have written somewhere what platform they play on. Their sig would be nice but at the very least they can include it in their profile (you know who you are...) so that we can piece together where all testimonies come from.

That being said this is not an issue on PS4 because I get gold stuff from hirelings and I play on PS4.

seems my RNG has changed since IC dropped, what use to be a steady every few days through the week is more a rarity now
