Since last night I've dealt with not being able to log in/stay logged in. I'm getting booted back to the login screen.

I have tried:

-Restart my modem and router and computer.
-Disable my antivirus, which is AVG.
-Added ESO to my expectations for both my antivirus and my firewall.
-Run the game as administrator.
-Repaired client several times.
-Redownloaded the ProgramData folder.
-Tried logging onto different characters.
-Tried logging onto my second account.
-Configured the Forwarding Ports to the suggested ports.
-Plugged right into my modem.

95% of the time I'm not able to get past the character select screen, if that. My announcements keep going from the normal to Could not Retrieve, and the very very few times I've been able to actually get in-game, it boots me almost immediately.

This was the response I got from Zenimax:
Thank you for contacting us regarding the error messages you're getting when trying to log into ESOTU. I am sorry to see you've been experiencing these errors. Since you've tried forwarding your ports, disabling your antivirus (though adding an exception for ESOTU should be sufficient click this linke for instructions) and all the other steps we can suggest, your next step would be to contacting your ISP.

Your report contains a "pathping" test, which tests your PC's connection to our server. This is what your pathping looks like:

Tracing route to launcher.bethesda.net [198.20.198.100]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
0 192.168.1.2
1 192.168.1.1
2 * * * * *

Step 0 is your PC, Step 1 is your Modem, and Step 2 is your Router. Asterisks (*) indicate a dropped/severed connection, so as we can see in your report, your connection is never actually reaching us. It's getting cut off by your router. Your ISP is the best source for assistance at this point.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
Dina
The ESOTU Support Team

I know there are other people having these problems, so I thought I would help to catalog my painful journey trying to fix it. Calling the ISP right now, so wish me luck.

Ticket number is # 151018-002704 in case anyone from Zeni might know more on the issue in case calling my ISP doesn't work.

    OKAY.

So after trying literally everything else I could think of, this ended up working for me:

    -Shut down computer.
-Unplug all the things from your modem.
-Rip heart (aka back-up battery) out of modem, if you can.
-Imagining kicking it across the room for ten minutes. (Do not actually kick the modem, or you will have another problem on your hands)
-Reinsert battery and other plugged in bits.
    -Turn computer back on.
    -Get past loading screens!

I realize these errors seem to be a lot different for each person having them, but I hope perhaps aids someone out there.
