Since IC I have not received any golden temper from hirelings, no rosin, no dreugh wax, no tempering alloy, no kuta...

Nothing is bugged. You just have bad RNG. I get gold tempers and kuta sometimes.

I get other tempers, but as yet have Never received a Kuta in the mail. As I've Never received this is not just bad RNG but Stupid RNG.

It used to be that you had to have Enchanting Extraction passives on top of hirelings just to receive Kutas.
What I'd like to know is if it's still the same or is fixed.

Since IC I've received less than 5 Kutas from hirelings.. They are delivered but the rate is very, very low. You have a better chance of getting them from writs.

I have received gold tempers and Kutas occasionally. I do have 3/3 on my hireling, and a crafter who is at level 50 for all crafts so I do not know if it makes a difference.

also 50 and 3/3 on my Hireling and have not had a Kuta in a year! I think since launch I have managed to loot 24, so they are beyond rare, I'd imagine the majority which are in circulation are due to the Guild Tab Exploit at launch.

I've received kuta reasonably regularly since IC. Once even on consecutive days, which was shocking.

But most of my Kuta come from writs, which I do every day.

To be fair, the hireling drop rate for Kuta is really low. In the last 6 months I levelled all my 8 characters' enchanting to 50, with 3/3 into the hireling, and got 15-20 Kutas total, from hirelings, in these 6 months. The last one was a week or so ago... the best source is still getting them by doing writs (which I do in my main crafter only and netted about 25 of these runes so far).

I've had dozens of Kuta since IC was released, no bug there at all, just bad RNG.

would seem for some of us it's really bad, but for others like yourself really good.

So I would say this is a bug, RNG that works we should see everyone with similar results, not a huge disparity where one person can get Dozens in about a month and others get none since launch.

@ZOS_GinaBruno could you request the Developers look at this as I know this has been flagged as an issue before.

Yup, you can thank the exploiters who built 7 crafting ults for that nerf.

Same with provisioning writs. Massive nerf to the drop rate of the psijic potion pieces. Haven't seen one in two months, and I do my provisioning writ every day.

Oh well. I'm almost inclined to remove all the hireling points now as their mail is near worthless and just creates clutter and work to get the mail and destroy everything.

Yes, I do.
RNG is what you call Random Number Generator, so what this isn't is producing a number between 1-100 and assigning a result to what number is selected.
This is generally selection a 1 or 0 for numerous calculations then combining the results to produce an outcome. This is done so we get a fairly random results but not so random that makes it unlikely that something will ever happen.

So based upon the above the RNG is not working as some people are in the position where something never happens, so in this case I believe RNG needs to be looked at, as a variable for some peoples account means we never get a Kuta, or make it so unlikely we never get one!

In fact, we dont give a damn about how RNG works.
What we give a damn is the obvious and unfair treatment somme of us are subjected to. I havent received a Kuta for the past 2 months, it had never hapened before.

Working as intended, though I agree it's a bizarre mechanic. I've gone ages with only a trickle of Kuta. Been on a tear lately with Kuta from writs, hirelings, and nodes. RNG is a saint and a devil.

With 2 maxed enchanters I get Kuta almost every day, I would guess about 1/3 writes gives me gold mats (provisioning excluded ofc).

When you say everyday, do you mean from writs or from Hireling mail?

I'm pretty sure he's talking about from writs. I get Kutas every now and then from hirelings, but it's very very rare. It's much more common to get them from writs. Heck, I once got 5 Kutas from a single writ - one as a reward for the writ itself, and a survey from the writ that I got 4 more from (2 of the nodes each had 2 Kutas). Granted, that's super ridiculous luck on that one writ, but between the chance of straight-up getting a Kuta as a writ reward and the chance of getting Kutas in enchanting surveys, writs are by far the best method of getting them.

I've had several 5 Kuta from one character days like that. I do the enchanting Writs on all my alts daily and get 3-4 Kuta a day on average. I have over 70 of them at the moment. Enchanting is easily the most profitable writ because it gives you all the mats you need to complete it and has a high rate of giving you Kuta.
