Just a note about the 'main quest'... as was mentioned by someone... you are 'leveled' to enemies because they are solo instances. What I found odd, is that having played this game quite some time and can typically do well against enemies significantly above my level- of course I always make sure to buff myself with food, crafted armor, etc. But in the one quest, "Valley of Blades"... the 'bosses' are just WAY OP. Not only that, but you get hit with boss after boss after boss in rapid succession. Your "companions" do little to help, and it can take quite some time to take them down. It is the ONLY quest I've died multiple times during because of not only how hard they hit, but how many come out to attack.
So far I have only encountered two types of mobs:
1) Those you can kill with less than 5 hits.
2) Those can kill you with less than 5 hits.
There is nothing in between. It always caught me off guard.
^This!^Avoid red
interupt red charged skills, can remap this to one button, default is left+right mouse button, very important, this will save you alot of trouble if you make it one button, including healspamming bosses in some quests gonna NEED you to do this or youll never kill themblock on gold charged skills, or cc them before they finish charging
avoid red
yes already said avoid red, but theres so many people who just LOVE standing in red then blame healers or tanks etc

The thing is ...
I get so used to mowing through mobs with very little effort and then all of a sudden in the middle of some battles this one common looking mob doesn't die within 5 hits! Oh crap...too late... always end up dying at least once.
Wish tough mobs have some kind of glowing aura, or a giant arrow on top of their heads that says Bad A$$, or sparkling rainbow shooting from their bodies or something similar.
Well actually, the mobs in the game are kinda easy. You can kill the last boss of the main quests with all your gear broken and a lvl 10 sword.
Maybe, you should L2P a little. Starting with Skyrim perhaps?

1. The L2P is not only uncalled for but without implication as he is attempting to learn.
2. Starting with Skyrim is probably not the best way to go since it's so damn exploitable that he or she will get far too used to god mode and be no better off. And no I don't mean the actual god mode on PC edition...
