Shelved it a while back. Wanted to check if the game has finally received the much-needed auction house, and hopefully some other important MMO features it lacked. Brief "yes" or "no" will suffice. Thanks.

So you have 1-7 auction house merchant per location.

✭On PS4 we have Trading communities. Theres one with 1k members, and I believe its growing as no-one know it exist.
I still say only thing this game needs is somekind of Outlaw Den service for global search, if you really need something, you can use it, but it cost you money.
Btw, IC is great example why this system is good, Im part of 3 trading guild and its just good prices can vary so much they do, so no more under-cutting.Edited by Sausage on October 18, 2015 5:28AM0 -

No, actually what this game desperately needs is the guild store interface to be greatly improved. I know this won't help you guys on console, but on PC we use addons like AwsomeGuildStore that lets you customize the search way more and even save favorite searches. The best part of the addon is that it saves the search criteria when you go from one trader to another, suddenly it's just a game of running up to the next trader, searching, looking, then repeating. Searching for stuff with the default UI was always such a hassle, especially with more complicated searches, so I do understand why people ask for a global auction house so much, but I think with some adjustments to the guild trader screen, this wouldn't be such an issue.[DC/NA]3 -

Just stating an idea is terrible doesn't make it terrible. Put that opinion to use and tell us WHY it's terrible... and please.. do so on the appropriate thread (linked above). What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.

What school of magick would that google device fall under? Or is it some dwemer construct?
In other words, there's no internet connecting all the traders in Tamriel. Therefore connecting them would be lore breaking unless there was some clever way of doing it.
Regardless, a lot of people do not want a global auction house, the developers included. So you can argue it being easier until you're blue in the face, but that doesn't mean it's automatically better for this game. Maybe it would be better for your game, or some peoples games, but just not better for the game.
They could probably do away with the whole crafting station thing, and just have drop down menus to accomplish the same thing from anywhere in the game, that would no doubt be much easier than the current setup, but many would argue that it wouldn't be better than the current setup. Point being, easier doesn't always mean better in video games.[DC/NA]1 -

Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.

Wilson said that before Blizzard launched the game, the company had a few assumptions about how the Auction Houses would work: He thought they would help reduce fraud, that they'd provide a wanted service to players, that only a small percentage of players would use it and that the price of items would limit how many were listed and sold.
But he said that once the game went live, Blizzard realized it was completely wrong about those last two points. It turns out that nearly every one of the game's players (of which there are still about 1 million per day, and about 3 million per month, according to Wilson) made use of either house, and that over 50 percent of players used it regularly. That, said Wilson, made money a much higher motivator than the game's original motivation to simply kill Diablo, and "damaged item rewards" in the game.

Then you would be saying incorrectly.
I have been a supporter of the current system since kiosks were implemented as an addition and I could count the number of items I have ever sold in this game on my fingers. Easily. I have only ever sold items through a trading guild if I found there was no interest in them in my main guild... and when I did so, I did so for rock-bottom prices that were barely above the mats value from decon.

Unless I really need something badly I don't bother to shop for an item anymore. As far as armor, unless it is for a max level toon, it isn't worth the effort to search for specific gear. I craft pieces and move on.
A more centralized auction system would be better.... and it really needs to be an auction system not this silly store system. I want bids and buyouts.0 -

People just don't like shopping and blame game system for that, lol.
They go to the most popular shopping location on craglorn where is 5 auction houses and got a mind-blow, game is to hard for them.
