skating instead of walking

why does my character appear to be skating rather than walking. I have to make 2 or 3 'jumps' before I get a proper walk. B**** frustrating!
^ cp 549 characters - best game ever playerd ( actually the ONLY game ever played so who am I to judge others).:D

    On a pc. Nope not using caltrops so far as I know.

    a) Riding along peacfully and dismount - skating. Do jump (asometimes twice) normal walking.
    b) Walking along merrily whistling a tune to myself and suddenly skating (and it is nopt even dance music).

    Not impossible to live with nut very irritating. It can even happen in battle which is extremely disconcerting.

    I'm having this issue since the IC update and after the mundus stone reset. With one of my characters I took then the Steed stone, and she's iceskating every now and then. Not as bad as it was last year, but it still looks ridiculous.
    Could it be you also have the Steed active? I mean, because of the increased movement speed, I think it's possible that there's some issue with it. None of my other characters is having this, and they all have different mundus stones.
    First I thought I was seeing things, so I'm glad I found this thread, thanks :)

    My character hasn't ever had this bug, I do however get one sometimes after I get off my horse... It's like I am still riding it, but along the ground, so looks like I am sliding along on my bum :lol: I hope they don't fix it, its really funny :blush:

    @pipelighter So are you using the Steed mundus stone or not?

    I created a thread a few days ago in the PC Technical Support forum: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/226321/the-steed-mundus-stone-causes-the-ice-skating-effect after testing if the Steed causes this (and yes, it does), but it gets basically ignored. Same in any zone chat in-game; it seems not many people are using the Steed, unfortunately. But to get this bug fixed asap, please be sure to send a bug report, too. Thanks :)
    I really can't run around like this anymore, two of my characters are using the Steed now and while running, they look like they crapped in their pants. And they're too slow also.

    I get this with certain actions (xbox one) e.g. opening a chest.... my character just continually opens nothing until I talk to someone and then it recovers. At least its not perpetual stage sliding like a certain other bethesda games... mentioning no names New Vegas
