Massive lag currently occurring on EU mega-server at present

Hey,

Just wanted to let you know that the EU mega server is receiving major latency issues at the moment, can zenimax please look into this? Before anyone asks or suggests, no everyone I know is having issues with it, no matter what zone they are in or alliance they are part of.

Yeah, i was fighting a group and wondered why I wasn't hitting them and why the screen suddenly changed to the death screen a few times. Xbone EU

I can't believe how poor the servers have been since launch and how little they've done to fix them, they want more players to play their game yet the servers can't handle more players. Only requires a little investment and this game would be even better than it already is...

Are you all talking about the X Box EU server? It does help when reporting such things to mention which server you're experiencing problems on.

We've been talking about the PC but apparently it has also effected the xbox and playstation servers.

This happened at the same time, on all campaigns and in carebear PVE land also.

Saw like 9 - 10 ppl logg of/crash at the same time in my friends list.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't playing earlier but have since my last post been in Greenshade (non-vet version) on the PC EU server without any lag or loading issues. Maybe they've fixed it or it's specific to some areas.

I've been playing since PC release and have never experienced significant lag. However, I don't do PvP or Cadwell's. Once or twice about a year ago I had momentary rubber-banding but it was gone as soon as it came.

Why are you posting a trace route to an IP address that has nothing to do with ESO? That IP is registered to a research lab in the UK.

True the lag is insane right now and it's been like this for a few days straight now.

Enemies flying across the ground, abilities 3+ sec delays, weapon swap, mounting, dying at 50% Health and loads more BS.

I ragequit twice today in PvP because I'm sick of cheap, lag-induced deaths. I have to press a skill 3 times for it to fire, break free and rolldodge doesn't register. I'm running around without the ability to do any interaction, only to realize i died 20 seconds ago but my hp bar is full and never dropped down, then i suddenly collapse and the death registers... People stuttering and jittering around the map.
Yeah such good fun, haven't had one for ages... Arghh -.-

PC EU lag is terrible at the moment - I've been playing with two others in the same room and all 3 of us were frequently booted off during play. Two of us were in IC fishing, the other just doing writs.

This lag situation really does need sorting out. It's ruining an otherwise very enjoyable game for us.

Hmmm... I was thinking of making a post just like this one. I play on the xbox one EU server and tonight was nothing but lag leading to disconnects in Cyrodiil. I had my laptop open running a ping session and not once did I lose connection there ( a few pings of around 160 or so but about 95% were around 20), so I am sure it was not my internet connection.

Pretty sure the PC, xbox and PS servers all run off of the EU datacenters in Frankfurt Germany. I live 45 mins away from them, and am lagging like crazy as well.

After azura campaign on xbone eu server reset the lag started it seems to be happening only after around 6pm swedish time starting slowly to lag and becoming worse every hour its fine early in the day. everyone i play with is lagging aswell so its not my connection and its only laggy in pvp cyrodiil not pve or IC. The large amount of players that are playing at night is bigger than usuall aswell and might be one reason for the lag theres like 50+ people in each faction fighting sometimes but even then if youre alone fighting a player far away from the big fights you still lagg alot.

Happened yesterday twice, the whole server lagged out, people from all zones/campaigns/dungeons started crashing.
