Yes it is, I never said it wasn't.

The price for so little content is the point I was trying to convey.

And the fact that the PvE DLC in a MMO is obviously catering to solo players.

Being kinda selfish arent you? An MMO is for both types of playing. It just means that other people can play along side you without being forced to be in group. I mean,if you want to join in a group who is going into a public du7ngeon,do it.There's your group content. Why are you griping anyway? There's plenty of play for PvP,PvE,groups and solos.Jeez,..dont be so greedy.

Exactly, I never understood the mentality "I don't like this content, so everyone must not like it, and they should only make content that I like, screw everyone else".

The arena offers rewarding SOLO end game content for the first time. It is great for people who don`t have much time or have time at some hours when the grouping is slow. It is great for people that don`t want to find yet another soon to be dead PVE guild.
The only thing that I don`t quite like it is that it isn`t just an arena DLC.The Orsinium ZONE will get stale very fast and I bet almost empty in 2 months. If they would have put all that effort into making the arena a much more extensive experience It would have been the greatest thing ever.

Personally I would say don't buy it unless you really enjoy PVE or playing the game alone.

Maelstrom Arena. Solo arena with leaderboards and some of the best armor in game and the best weapons. 100 hours of content right there for me.

This. If you use 2h weapons, the master 2h weapons will be the best ever to drop in the game.

It's a solo DLC, for those of us who like the lore and story of the game but hate grouping up to rush through it all.
If you for some reason don't like solo content and want to group up everywhere then this DLC isn't aimed at you. Wait until the next adventure zone (A place in Blackmarsh or something is what they had planned, I personally hate Blackmarsh so I'm not bothered if they make that a group zone), that is aimed at you.

If you don't buy it and you don't feel like you missed out on something that would entertain you, than you made the right choice.

I will play it because I like the Elder Scrolls lore and storytelling at this point more than any particular activity in the game.

Why are people still talking about what "an MMO is for"? Each game is its own thing.

I agree that ESO caters to multiple kinds of players. If people don't like a particular DLC, they can not buy it and no need to shout their plans in a forum.

So between you and your wife you cannot make your minds up on whether to buy a computer game or not? Or you made up your minds and want people to convince you to buy it? Just angry its not tailor made for you? Seriously what's this thread for?

Buy it / don't buy it. Use your own judgement, its your money. Plenty of things to do to see if you possibly like it or not without even buying it first.

I will be in there enjoying myself for my own reasons. You have any reasons to go there? They outweigh the negatives? Yes? No? There's your answer your welcome.

Nope. Unfortunately in Orisinium also. Not much reason to go to them more than once except for grinding mobs.

You bought IC and you dont even pvp, now you need to be 'convinced' to buy Orsinium, pve content with 10 times the amount of quests and a huge new zone to explore?

I think he was just relaying worries a lot of us have, regarding the new DLC. Is it worth the money we have to pay for it? The OP was asking a reasonable question, wanting reasonable answers to your thoughts on it. Lets try and keep the answers on topic maybe?

Maybe it's a reasonable question, but it comes with a perfectly easy solution. Don't buy it.

I didn't pre-order ESO and I didn't buy it right away. I watched videos and decided to wait. I also waited until the price came down to around $25 for the Imperial Edition on sale. At that price, I felt I could take a risk. And now I really like the game.

Or he could sub for a month. He has options. They may not be the options he wants, but he has options.

What is certain is no one can tell him why he should buy the game. We can tell him why we're looking forward to Orsinium. But my reasons won't be his reasons.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

The heroes during times of war, are nothing but mass murderers during times of peace.

Who are you trying to get to convince you? The other players? The CS reps? The Devs? If you yourself can't find a reason to play then perhaps another game is in order. Sometimes a person has to go to the other side of the fence to see if the grass truly is greener.

Orsinium feels like an Elder Scrolls game. It is beautiful and the improvements that I have seen on the PTS make it a much better game. Mind you, the UI improvements will be free, but I rather pay my sub and have something Elder Scrollsy than something that I have little interest in. Most of the newer games on the market just don't cut it.

I bought eso for ps4 on release day. Leveled to VR14, got about 100CP.

I liked the dungeons and trials, pvp was terribad, people trying to balance classes around small scale pvp in a game designed for large scale pvp never turns out good - ever. But whatever, I am a pve player mainly anyways. I'll stick to that.

Then comes IC. I know it's a horrible model and idea, but against my better judgement I purchase the dlc to give it a fair shot.

I logged in, did my respec and queued for both the new dungeons and for a pvp campaign. 3 hours later I still hadn't gotten into either.

I paid for a game i couldn't play. New content gated behind pvp in zones that are population capped. A group finder that was completely broken and my alt was stuck in Rivenspire and couldn't get out.

But Orsinium was coming out soon, I would be able to PvE with other people and hve a good time again. I stayed optimistic about it.

Then comes the patch notes. Absolutely zero group content in an MMORPG. Not even scaling trials up.

Why should I buy dlc catering to solo content when I can go play a much better solo rpg?

Maybe I'm missing something here but this makes absolutely no sense.

Because you're reading into it too much. Just because it's soloable doesn't mean you have to solo it (with the exception of Maelstrom Arena which does force it). Also keep in mind there are 2 new huge Public Dungeons coming you can do with friends.

Lol, you think Zenimax actually put any effort into the new public dungeons. Everyone's gonna solo them within a week of release, and those that can't are going to cry about the difficulty until they get nerfed.

So basically you're never gonna throw money at them ever again.

Sounds like a smart purchasing decision (I'm being serious here; never waste your money on stuff that's being falsely advertised).

I asked myself the exact same question and decided not to bother. Wont be paying any money towards this game until a lot of bugs are fixed, even then Orsinium doesnt interest me whatsoever, ill just get someone to craft me one of the sets from the dlc thanks :)

So in this case it has nothing to do with bugs and everything to do with the actual dlc not appealing to you full stop?
