Finally got my lazy butt to IC and it is pretty cool. However I did notice that healing is pretty useless there.

Seems like the same nerf that PvP in general got, but it is way more noticeable since the mobs have a lot more health and hit like trucks. Looks like some mobs also have a healing debuff they apply to you. In other words its a hell of a fight for me as a healer / solo player.

I hate to rebuild my character, but this content looks interesting to do.

What should I focus on when building a Templar from scratch for this?

You're definitely gonna want to be in a group, especially if you want to farm stones.

I find my Templar is the one of my characters that CAN run around solo in IC.

I only run BoL on my bars and tbh rarely use it, however Puncturing Sweep with it's health return on damage done is invaluable.

My main problem is 'real players' not being a PVPer usually they kill me before I even see them!!

Obviously the Banner Bosses(in the sewers) I cannot solo and the wandering Bosses (in the IC itself) also I cannot solo but I have done most of the quests on my own and regularly run around the sewers collecting stones.

My Templar is VR16, wears 3 willpower jewelry, 2 crafted sets and uses a Nirn Destro staff with the new Daedra/Undead damage enchant on it.

Fully buffed she has around 36k magicka 23.5k health, spell damage is just under 2.5k and spell resist is at 24k........

I have around 280CP's , so not massive amounts, she is a Breton and wears 5 light, 1 medium, 1 heavy. Four pieces of her armour are still VR14 because I haven't got round to upgrading them.

It is entirely possible to have fun on your own in IC but there are always groups around to join if you find you're dying too much. :)

Thats so full of crap, Ive seen Templars soloing Bosses (That Spider or Lady of the Web at least) and Portal, not to mention some of them outheal a sick amount of dmg in PVP. Ive actually wordered how much one boss gives stones, I hope its not much, its already extremely unfair if one can solo those portal-chests.

You need Purifying Ritual in IC, because so many debuffs and snares. Works for both stamina- and magicka templar since it's pretty cheap.

No clue what's it's like on console. But on PC, I wouldn't suggest solo'ing stones in Sewers on a magicka templar. To frustrating without escapes and mobility v.s. enemy raids, groups and gankers, when you have all the NPC's beating on you already.

Either play Nightblade for IC, so you can avoid NPC's and boss aggro with Cloak, or go with a 3-6 man group. I think that's the most fun. In big groups, you get less loot, xp and stones and just end up zerging everything down in half a second, leaving little room to actually play the content yourself.

The portal-chests I can solo easily........

Boring but standing on top of the chest spamming puncturing sweeps works every time, usually I get around 300 stones from one of those chests.

Also the Dolmen like events which you have to close the pinion are another that I can solo, again usually around 300 stones for those too. :)

Thank you @freespirit , that gives me something to shoot for. And is nice that I dont have to change my abilities too much.

Just need gear. My stats are way lower, but only vr 9 so hopefully I can get there!

Should I run Rememberence for the Ultimate? Or is it not needed.

I find going with one or two other people is the most efficient way to go about it, but I have soloed some of it. My templar is tanky, so not much DPS and stuff dies slooowly.

My stam sorc can solo just about any boss that doesnt have adds or is Zoal (I always make a mistake somewhere in the fight ;) ). District bosses give 500 stones without any multiplier.
Banner bosses in the sewers are also easily soloable to me as long as they dont have totems or the selfhealing spell. They give 400 stones each.
The stationary sewer bosses I was able to solo as well, with the exception of Secundinius, who always gets me after a while, but that i could probably work around if i were to dedicate more time to it. These bosses give 300 stones a kill.
