1 on 1 interfaction dueling can be a great time. Pick a spot in the Cyrodiil wilderness, grab 50 of your closest guild friends and Fight Club in the Cyrodiil wilderness all day. I fully support this. Do you know where I don't support this? On the Imperial City Arena front doorstep in a population locked server! I guested into Haderus last night and couldn't do anything but trade spawn camps with DC because 50 DC and AD decided that the most popular PVP area in the entire game was a good place to sing Koombyya with Ed Norton and Brad Pitt. I do not regret bat swarming any of you, and wish I had aggroed Immolator Char into your group earlier.

✭✭✭✭Any area where you're in a large field away from the keeps, grind spots or well known loot locations is a great place for it. Basically 80% of Cyrodiil.3 -

✭When COH held a dueling event we found the milegate between Kingscrest and Dragonclaw to be a nice spot.
We even joked that the western side of it reminded us of an old obstacle course even known as The Assault for American Gladiators. The other side has areas to view from, some open areas, and even a few obstacles to make positional awareness of some value.
Telel's personal experience with worst dueling spot is...pretty much anywhere this one may go through on their way to defend a keep. Were khajiit not so sorry for murdering random vagrants they'd find it amusing at the number of times they and their pack have mistaken a group of 'duelists' for potential siegers and murdered all of them.

I would fully support an Arena system. Where people load into Cyro and can travel to an Arena and sign up to fight 1v1. This worked very well, although I think we were lucky with the people who were trolling around in Cyrodiil at the time. For as long as our guys were goofing off there, I'm surprised we didn't have the emperor group make a showing.
There's a lake between Kingscrest and Farragut that also works well.

✭✭I once saw two people dueling right next to a keep that was being sieged. (AD keep, EP siege) one was AD and the other EP... they got pissed when the EP player got steam rolled... um... pick a better spot?? Maybe not two feet away from a keep under siege?? lol.1 -

✭I have to agree with the Khajiit, do not duel on a poplocked server.
Incidentally, being near a keep that is about to be sieged is not a good idea either. Nor is being on the road.
If you have to duel, try to be in an out of the way place.
Keep in mind, that if a group comes by, they might not realize that it is a duel.1 -
