Anybody know if these 2 stack for detection range?!

I doubt that they stack because the descriptions are slightly different. One reveals enemies. One increases your detection range
V16 Uriel Stormblessed EP Magicka Templar(main)
V16 Derelict Vagabond EP Stamina DK
    V16 Redacted Ep Stam Sorc
    V16 Insolent EP Magicka Sorc(retired)
    V16 Jed I Nyte EP Stamina NB(retired)

I seem to remember it stacking, esp with pots.. The set might not be bad now since the traits can be random

And it's a pretty cheap VR16-set to get.

But looks like nobody has the definitive answer.. any AD/EP NB on EU that wants to help check this out?!

Seems the set doesn't do anything versus Cloak.. ie. it's pretty useless.

Ahh, but it is certainly worth testing. And usually you have ample time to mark someone when you reveal them, as a NB.
    Here since Beta.

Characters: All of them, both Stamina and Magicka.

I have a character who recently got this set, NA server AD side, in case anyone was interested in testing it there.

That doesn't help 3/4 of the classes, but going by the description it sounded like this set is a specific set to deal with cloak, like shield breaker is a specific set to counter shield stacking.

Alas, it doesn't seem to be of any use versus the nightblade cloak skill and only seems to help in revealing hidden enemies.

Wonder what the intended use case for the set was during the design stage.

A single shadow image + Cloak will overcome this set entirely.

No need, as it doesn't seem to work anyway.

I can't answer if RML stacks but the Sentry set is intended for ganking stealthed enemies, not invisible ones.

Sentry detection does stack with potions and can put your stealth detection almost to render range.

Also the Sentry 3 pc + 1 Molag Kena is a good substitute for 4 PC Sheer Venom.

Tip: go in settings and change the render range... because I think you have it set to the lowest possible setting if a detect pot + sentry makes you see up to clip range :-)

I ran this set combo the other night and can say from what I experiences, the detection range may be stacking as I was able to detect someone sneaking in a resource tower while they were in the door frame near the tower mage and I was halfway up the stairs to the roof, but it seems beyond finding sneaking enemies the combo falls flat.

I also noticed something odd and was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Radiant magelight seems to have ticks similar to things like lightning form, where its ability to detect hidden enemies isn't constant but instead comes in intervals. Where lightning form triggers a damage aoe every second I also think RML does the same as I have seen NB's both cloak and immediately be revealed but have also seen NB's cloak and remain invisible long enough to get outside of my aoe. Anyone else seen this happen?

This would explain my experience with RML. I've tried it multiple times, especially as NB on the forums bring it up every chance they get, and I always ditch it shortly after as NB can still easily get into melee range and get a stealth attack off.

@OdinForge and I did some test earlier with cloak and radiant magelight. We found some rather odd things. Normal sneaking has this strange bug with RML where the person sneaking will completely re-enter stealth several times before being revealed for good, and concealed weapon will do a full stun even when well within RML's range. It also seemed that RML was able to correctly detect past cloak (I was unable to vanish with cloak alone in the aoe) and using the vampire's 12m range feed skill I can say that even on a khajiit with stealthy RML still holds its full detection radius. I would suggest that more people test, the more we know of the games quirks the better.

We have some interesting results indeed, one day in the near future I'd like to do more testing.

Things like RM vs Piercing Mark in terms of effectiveness in a 1v1 scenario (I would like both parties to have a max level toon with RM available), or a 1v2 or 3 NB scenario. Nonetheless I'm submitting video evidence to ZOS surrounding the cloak stun thing, to see if it's an effect they intended or not.
