Lets say a plague was released upon the public. A disease that would perm. Take 5% off of your stats if not cured within 7 full days of actual logged in play time. This disease would be started and spread by the unknown, however, the ingredients for the cure would be rare. These ingredients could only come from PvP PKing, and it could start an economic stimulus. Would only the top tier have the cure? Would they even sell it? Would it even be fun? Your thoughts..

Sounds like that time World of Warcraft basically got AIDs from a raid.

Don't even think about it ZOS do you have any idea the percentage of the games population would be lost because you actually penalize people for not already giving up their lives to play 24-7 and have the cookie cutter perfect build? Diseases I support but a cure should not be next to impossible to get or leave permanent damage it should be something you either buy for a reasonable cost or make yourself.

Where to begin... The obvious beginning would be how you threw in text chat on consoles out of nowhere I suppose. Next would have to be the fact no one really holds back in Voice Chat, trust me. Those that do not speak simply cannot or do not want to or both. Then we have the fact that if people do "hold back" for fear of ridicule it does not apply only to Voice Chat. Whether you say it or type it is all the same. I have honestly not heard one single comment about anyone's voice since I started playing. Not saying it doesn't happen, because it does, but that alone should say it is at least rare. And finally to top it all off it was a smartass comment not meant to be taken seriously that you made this reply to.

Of all the reasons for people to want text chat, that is most definitely not it, in fact I wouldn't even consider that anything more than a minor reason. That being said let's stay on topic eh? ...Wait, what was the topic?

As always before saying NO PLEASE NO I'd like to review this. Since it's just an idea.
Sounds like fun. But anything you can't control isn't fun. I mean, that is ok to become sick but it should be a slow process(like 4-5 hours RL time), when you logged off, it stops getting worse.

Alchemists should be able to create potions with special ingredients. Collecting these ingredients should be exploration based not pvp pking, not dungeons (could be in a pvp area though. that may make things a little bit more "interesting").

If you don't care about your sickness and don't cure it you eventually pass out and find yourself in the chapel lying down. You get a "recovering" debuff and you find your sprint slowed to your run speed, your normal run becomes a walk like you are injured for 5-10 minutes.

This is how I'd like to see a pleague system. A spreading disease effecting stats temporarily can be used to zerg control. Change fates in the cyrodiil.
