I agree and yet you see posts like these all the times in forums. Nothing wrong with watching what others are doing but try, fail, and learn for yourself.1 -

Yep, try them out as you go along.
Level them all up so you can use them later on if needed.
I made mine purely with pvp in mind. I levelled up the AoE skills (liquid lightning and pulsar under destro staff ) in case I did run dungeons on it.
To start off with, you want frag as a heavy hitters. Mage's fury as an execution and pulse for spell weaving (pulse, medium attack, pulse, medium attack etc then use frag when it procs)
Run resto for shields.
Even if you do not want to use conjured pets, level that skill line as quick as possible so you get conjured ward. That is a must for a sorc.Edited by Brrrofski on October 16, 2015 12:31AM0 -
Ommamar✭✭✭✭Well as was said the more skill lines you level the more flexibility you have. I prefer to put one skill from each class line, one from the weapon I am currently using and then the last slot for the secondary weapon I will be using once I hit 15. Once I do hit 15 I prefer to put as many weapon skills for my secondary weapon on the second bar as I can to speed up the skill line gain. I also agree on the Daedric summoning leveling even if you don't intend to use pets it has some good non pet passives and skills.0

✭✭My sorc's for pve always run fire staff to start of with.
Destructive touch so I can bash enemy away.
Get mage light as soon as possible for the magicka boost with the morph.
Also use ice staff to slow enemy down & freeze them in place.
Run both clannfear & winged twilight as they are great for distracting enemy, plus the twilight heals.
Usually have storm atronach as my ultimate.
After I start accumulationg skills points, i'll try different skills to find out which ones suite my play style.Your immersion is breaking my entitlement. Buff Sorc's. At low level level ALL your skills,
EVEN PETS as your strongest protection is on the Daedric skill line,
Use Destro and Resto staves and level them both to level 50,
When you get there you can decide if you want to level Sword and Board, Dual wield as 2 swords increase spell dmg(Go figure)
Light armour is your bread and butter however while leveling to VR I always wear one medium and one heavy, NOT FOR UNDAUNTED yet, but to level skill lines as the active skill on both is nice to have.
Remember that endgame and PVP your survivability is down to the shields you can use,
Hardened ward, Harness magicka and Healing ward are your friends,
Boundless storm gives you both speed and protection and should be used,
Cookie cutter builds are as follows:
Destro staff:
Crushing shock,
Daedric Curse,
Structured Entropy,
Crystal fragments,
Streak,
Ulti - Greater Storm atronach,
Resto Staff:
Daedric Mines,
Hardened ward,
Harness Magicka,

I use 4 Magnus and 4 Eyes of mara,
