No, he didn't die. He was defeated by Vahlok in a duel, and taken away by Hermaeus Mora before the killing blow could be delivered.Doflamingo wrote: »Scyantific wrote: »No. He's stuck in Herma-Mora's realm. No need to bring him back.
No i mean now in ESO we are in the past , Skyrim is in the future. Miraak died once in the past too but we dont know how he died thats the point maybe WE killed him in the past he didnt had to do anything with Mora back then

And the likelihood of Miraak wanting to become emperor if he somehow escaped apocyrpha would be quite high as when one is emperor they can relight the dragonfires........well we all know what would happen then.
Only a Dragonborn can be Emperor, but no-one ever said that every Dragonborn has the right to be Emperor.TX12001rwb17_ESO wrote: »Did I neglect to mention the presence of Miraak being Dragonborn would make him the true emperor by divine right and the silly little 3 banners war would be meaningless, this is why it is so easy to lose your emporership in cyrodiil becuse you are not the true emperor for in the 2nd era only a Dragonborn can be Emperor.

Funny thing was that Vahlok wasn't even that cool or unique or anything and that that part of the story was kind of breezed over. It kind of made Miraak look like a bit of a whimp.
Overall, storylines were too short, didn't show enough, and rewarded the player too quickly as result. A power fantasy is more rewarding when you earn it.

You don't have to do them in order. I always do main quest and side quests parallel with each other. Especially those that feel connected with each other or are bound to certain place.
But again, you have to play main quest(s) at least twice to really get into the story! There are so many little details during questing that you can miss and not see, yet they are important and make the immersion much deeper and better.
