Problem with Stibbons mission in coldharbour

like says I have to defend him and he wont move unless I look at him in certain angle and when he dous fight he runs back to start after first fight and in middle of second fight

Yup, it's bugged. However, there is a solution...or rather a few ways that you can complete it:
1. Clear the cave and wait at the exit door (don't leave). Eventually you'll get the "Completed" message and it will tell you to exit the cave even if Stibbons stays at the entrance.
2. If option one did not work, leave the cave and re-log. Enter the cave again and clear it, hopefully the Bone Colossus will have spawned at the end. Defeat him and wait by the exit door.

I had to clear the cave over 5 times. I just kept running back and forth from the exit to the entrance, eventually I just randomly got the message that I completed it and I could leave. It's frustrating, I know. Here's a couple other threads that discus the issue:

so stibbons don't need to follow At All?

That is correct. Stibbons will forever run back to the entrance no matter what.

I got an email for my ticket I sent in from ZOS saying that there is nothing wrong with the mission I'm all like BULL!

Just wanted to let you know they apparently fixed the quest. At least that's what I read in the Patch notes from the latest update for PS4. I don't know if they fixed it for all the platforms. Were you every able to complete the quest?

crap I forgot to go and try out that method you taught me but ill go in after I'm done with this delve and test it out and let you know

just finished the mission and yes the bug is fixed
