There is no stamina based jewelery set in Orsinium and the medium armour sers are so-so.

Some players are just too lazy to pvp, thye just wan instant access to IC and grind all the things then leave. Then next day cont....all campaigns should gated, and those players who wan access to IC, should help to def the keeps... is should be like tissss....
I thiiiiink you're missing part of my point. Again, I'm not saying that being ganked is the main problem here. It's annoying, sure, but it's not where the problem lies. The problem lies in the fact that a person can do next to nothing effort-wise and take all the Stones someone may have spent hours ACTUALLY EARNING.timidobserver wrote: »I never said it wasn't okay to fight someone who was already fighting mobs. Which is OP's main issue - people putting 0% effort into earning the Stones. I don't care who you are, you should only get Stones from someone if YOU did more damage than any NPCs that you may or may not have dragged over to do the work for you.
This is what people are failing to understand. It's not that other players are killing us that's making us PO'ed, it's the fact that there are a lot of people are using cheap, underhanded, lazy tactics such as what OP described. Wanna drag a boss over to someone? Go right ahead, but then actually WORK to take out that person, instead of waiting from a safe distance doing jack all until the person has a sliver of HP remaining and then going "hurr durr tiem 4 stones lol" and doing barely any damage to get the killing blow.
It's not good game design, it only promotes laziness.
The Phoenix set screwed the OP over more than the boss. As far as I can tell from the recap, the boss got the first killing blow. The ganker got the post Phoenix killing blow.

I said that in one of my posts earlier. I very clearly said that it's not getting attacked or even ganked that's the problem. The problem is people who will wait out of the "danger zone" for you to have just a tiny bit of HP left, then fire off some weak attack to get the "killing blow" and get pretty much all your Stones for 0% effort. Are you honestly saying that's good game design? It rewards the people who do nothing and punishes the people who are actually out questing or grinding mobs or doing whatever it is that they do to earn their Stones.
That's why I'm saying enemy players should only get Stones from you if they do more damage than any mobs or bosses you might be fighting. You might say "oh but what if the mob/boss does 51% damage, then I don't get the Stones", but the simple way around that is to find people are aren't currently fighting anything. It would actually encourage people to travel around and not just lurk in one spot with a lot of traffic ninja-murdering people who take on the mobs.
It is good game design for what they were going for. Getting ganked when you are unprepared to deal with it is part of the risk of going out to farm solo in imperial city. Either hone your build until you are never unprepared to deal with a ganker, or don't go solo. It only takes 2-3 people with decent amounts of health to dissuade the average ganker.
The only issue in this thread that I agree on is the ability to drag and drop bosses with cloak. There isn't really a counter to that unless you also happen to be a NB. I think bosses should see through cloak and disregard it entirely.

I mean, I don't know what else I can say to make it more clear. While I hate getting ganked, that's not what I'm taking issue with. Enemies should have to WORK to kill you if they want your Stones. They shouldn't be able to hide just out of aggro range and then be able to fire a single attack to get their target's Stones.
Again, this just rewards lazy people and punishes the people who are actually, y'know, playing the content. It's not good game design, at least not imo (and not in a lot of other peoples' opinion as well, it seems).

In normal circumstances, I wouldn't even bother complaining since it's part of the game and I'm choosing that risk, but losing only 1,300 stones is nothing, it's about the situation.
I've been farming stones for the Xivkyn Polymorph and I've bought 52 Green Lockboxes so far and received nothing. I farm on a Ebonheart Pact dominated campaign for about 2 hours, not every day though.
2 Daggerfall players decide to stealth near my farming spot and wait for me to get low so they can gank me, which is fair, right? but what's annoying is that they purposely drag a boss into me, go stealth with NB cloak so I get aggro and then they gank me with the very last hit so that they get all my stones and run back off to base.
Why do you reward these type of players? why? I'm simply done with IC now and the polymorph of RNG isn't even worth the time.

but... but... how can you get hit with 35k dmg, then 40k dmg, and another 15k dmg and get finished by another 2k dmg? these numbers suggest that you must be a tank with (35+40+15) = 90k hp; maybe you had shields that absorbed 45k and then they reduced your hp in a second phase...ok, it could work...but... 35k is critical damage so it's normal damage would be... 35k / 1.5 = 23k damage ; for 40k (also critical) > 26 k normal damage! those numbers are not very consumer-friendly, right... i can't blame you

The killer blow thang I use to my advantage when I possibly can. eg: I'm a VR8 Sorc and I always try to get to base with all my TV's intact so the other evening I got ganked n spanked when entering the sewers from Arena by 4x AD's all 14 - 16 VR .........and although I've always had an issue with the slight spawn delay (subject for another thread!!) to counter , I managed to survive down to about 10% health and use Bolt to get me to some mobs where a kindly Dremora whacked me for 200 of my 2K stones.
They inflicted 90% dmg on me for squat all. I've been successful with this more often than I deserve so you gotta work with the system and I ain't no PVP leet player by a long shot.
Did you read the thread at all before posting? Several of us have clearly stated numerous times that being attacked/ganked/wtfever IS NOT THE ISSUE. The problem is the way the system rewards lazy people by making it far too easy to get Stones from an enemy, since they only need to get the killing blow and not deal X% amount of damage instead.gen_reynard2050 wrote: »enemy just outsmart u, doesn't mean he can't fight. and if so worried being ganked, then why IC, should wait OS... #neverendingstory..
