I hear ya, but personally I only have 2 main crafters, that deals with all the professions at max level.
E.g, old main deals with Blacksmithing/Woodworking/Clothing at max level
Other crafter deals with Enchanting/Provisioning/Alchemy
Do writs for a few chars for all professions, but only put in points for hirelings to alleviate mats attrition on my toons, and also frees up a lot of skill points for my characters to spend as I see fit.
You only really need 1/2 crafter characters to do everything, not every single toon being a max level crafter, but each to their own.
But tbh its not up to Zeni to reset your skill points, its up to you and how you spend them across the field that matters
Just saying.

Yeah, originally I had 1 character do each craft, but over the months of playing I leveled up the other crafts on them to 50 and put in the points for hirelings, then when the glass motifs came out I started putting points into their ability so I could do the writs more times per day. I still have 1 character who is the master crafter for each, but most of my characters have level 50 in every craft.
I see what you're saying about it's not up to Zeni, but I disagree based on what they've said in the past. They've always maintained the stance that if they change something in an update they will give us the chance to essentially "pick again", the problem is that mostly they just respec your entire character any time they changed anything in an update, which gets annoying when you don't want to change anything but you're forced to rebuild. Recently ZOS said they would stop resetting everyones points every patch. But, when they change something like this, it's hard to believe that it's my fault, how was I supposed to know what they would do with their game in the future?
Trust me, if this goes live, unchanged, there's going to be so much crying on the forums about having to respec, I'm just trying to get them to see the error in their ways early, so they can fix it before it's an issue.
Also, what the heck happens if I decide not to buy Orsinium? Can't do writs in craglorn anymore

You do realize you do not actually receive writs you cannot complete right? Why do you think my alts do writs in Rawl'kha instead of Craglorn? Because they do not have access to Craglorn despite being completely maxed in crafting. Don't have access to Orsinium? Then they won't give you a writ to turn in there regardless of the rank being 10 or not. If they do, it's a bug; plain and simple.

The areas you reference are level-restricted, Orsinium is not. It's reasonable to wonder if Zeni will have max level writs turn into a DLC, the way that they currently have some daily pledges in IC dungeons, whether you have the DLC or not.

Sorry, wrong, you can get writs that you cannot complete..
If you are training up another provisioner for example, then pretty much constantly will you receive writs for shizzle that your toon does not know recipes for, this happens all the time.
And all max level writs end up in Crag, so you can do all your writs there and hand them all in there also, providing ofc, that your max level crafter can access Crag.
At least this is true on PC. sounds like a bug on your platform, and not the general rule.

There was actually a point in time when my main unlocked Craglorn that he did an Alchemy Writ or 2 in Craglorn and then stopped getting them and went right back to turning in Malabal Tor writs since they are the highest level for Aldmeri non-Vet Ranks alongside Provisioning. After the IC patch I believe it was he started getting Craglorn full-time.
Honestly I'd say PC is the bugged one if ya'll can get Writs you cannot even go complete. It was never an issue on PS4 because it just didn't happen.

Gotta agree, considering we have beta tested the game since Early Access 2014 hehe.
But in terms of provisioning writs on a new toon, you are always gonna get the same cycle of writs, same applies to the other professions, at least on PC, so you have to craft them on a toon that knows the required recipes or learn them or a friend crafting them for you, in either case for provisioning anyways, they do not go away, after you certify for the writs, then you get the same cycle of writs.

Well sure the writs will require you have the proper materials and know-how to do them that's how it is on console too but if you cannot access where you're supposed to turn them in then on consoles at least it limits you to the areas you can turn them in to. That is why my non-vet alts do Yew, Ebony, Ebonthread/Fell Hide, and below Vet Rank recipes for their writs.

Well aye its the same on PC, you got a low level toon embarking on low end crafting writs, and if you do not have improvement/crafting skill points put in, then you always have hand in your writs for Stonefalls/Glenumbra for EP/DC, (dont know about AD), and if you put skill points into whats required, then you can hand in your writs to the next zone up, until eventually you can put them all into Craglorn, as is the case for my crafters who are fully maxed out on all crafts.
You said earlier that your crafters are maxed out yet cannot hand them into Crag, as said, not sure how it is on consoe, but on PC providing you are indeed maxed out in the points required to craft stuff, then you shoud be able to hand in all writs into Crag.

If you don't have the DLC though you can't go. Therefore you cannot possibly get the writs. Again if you do it should not be so.UltimaJoe777 wrote: »Also, what the heck happens if I decide not to buy Orsinium? Can't do writs in craglorn anymore

Yeah the reason they cannot do Craglorn Writs is because Craglorn unlocks at VR1 and my alts are all Levels 12-21 at this time.
Also zone order for AD is as follows: Auridon/Grahtwood/Greenshade/Malabal Tor/Reaper's March.
Ahhh right aye well that explains the issue then hehe, get your main crafters to Vr1 damnit:P
And cheers for clarifying the AD order:}

Hahah, it is your mission laddie, do eeet naooowww haha.
Was bugging me how you could not hand in your writs into Crag so I am happy you explained why hehe.

Well I never get the writs for Craglorn since I cannot go, which is why I am glad Orsinium has writs I can do there because I never really restock Yew and all that since Coldharbour isn't very abundant in all of it, especially the Fell Hides. But yeah the usual intervals of time I invest into playing leave a lot to be desired for just quickly leveling my alts to Vet Ranks lol I do have like 7 of them I keep in check not to mention grabbing Skyshards and doing Quest Lines and whatnot.

Actually non vet alts can do writs up to Coldharbour. The alt has to do the quest that has you following around the NPC in Hollow City though. Tedious but not dangerous

The problem is the materials for VR15 and VR16 gear such as Ruby ingots right now you can only get them from deconing junk gear and you only get them from either a scaled dungeon that is vr15 or vr16 if your lucky or the Imperial city and that takes forever cause 1 pieces of VR16 gear cost 10X more than vr15 gear.
So that ruby jerkin you want is 15 ruby leathers to make at vr15 will be 150 to make a vr16 and the biggest kick in the jewels is that there's really only a 10-40 point difference between vr15 and vr16 cause little know fact vr16 is only good when it is at gold level and IDK about you guys but I don't have 56 gold temper materials to spare to fully upgrade my vr16 armor to make it as "OP" as ZOS is so fond of stating
