I think it's pretty idiotic that someone can land even the weakest of Light attacks, and so long as it's the "killing blow", that person gets pretty much all the Stones you've managed to gather. They really do need to make it so that enemies only get the Stones if they do more damage than any NPCs or something. Otherwise this sort of behavior is only going to continue.
Anymore I just go to IC on Axe, when EP has access. It's much less of a headache that way.

Why did you bait and didnt say clearly what you wanted, you even put a picture to create even more contradiction. Usually when you bait, you get bad responses. Successful troll is successful.
Oh I did read your post @CrowsDescend and I saw you complained about the fact they used the environment (boss) to kill you in one way or another. That's IC, deal with it. It always happens when you start mixing PvE and PvP in one area. Ever played an MMO on a PvP server? Ever had someone dragging a boss through a complete zone just to make a fun of guys dying, probably getting points or whatever reward for their deaths? That's nothing new...
That's what I meant by "situational awereness".
The bosses are neither quiet nor easy to be overlooked.
If you would have been aware of your surroundings, you would have seen these guys or the boss itself moving towards you BEFORE you draw the aggro (which you btw don't do by someone dragging a mob to you, you gotta hit him in some way or another).
If you would have farmed while positioned to always keep an eye on room entrances etc. you would have been up and away or at least able to top your own health better as soon as you notice something wrong there.
If you could have prevented the death is a completely different question though...

Yes, this really needs to happened. While small scale PvP in IC should be encouraged, playing like a *** shouldn't. When NPC's did most of the dmg, you shouldn't get 80% of the stones, because well, your contribution towards the kill was pathetic.
If you only sit in sneak or cloak most of of the time waiting for NPC's to do the dirty work, you sure as hell aren't deserving all the stones. You're almost playing as bad as a zerger, as in no risks taken, making sure the enemy is greatly outnumbered before you engage.
This would hardly affect good gankers, because they dont need help from NPC's or bosses to kill one guy PvE'ing lol.

The boss was the one who killed me, because the player got the little tickle-killing blow on me, it counts as his kill and he gets 80% of my stones????
Don't you see the problem here? if not, I give up on trying to make you see my point and lets leave it at that.

I do get it and all I am saying is: You could have avoided this by yourself or at least you could have limited the part of the boss being you main struggle in here.
I know on PC they closed...Azura's Star, iirc?...and replaced it with the new gated access campaign. I thought this would have been done for console too, but it sounds like it might just be a PC thing =/.RAGUNAnoOne wrote: »I think it's pretty idiotic that someone can land even the weakest of Light attacks, and so long as it's the "killing blow", that person gets pretty much all the Stones you've managed to gather. Does the PS4 even have the axe campaign? I never seen it on my list.
@CrowsDescend that was a cowardly move and judging by the low damage he did you could have demolished him easily had he not done that. I don't know what is worse this or sewer spawn camping.
That is what makes this game fun, the hardcore part and play solo xD
Yeah, legit. Dragging a boss over after failing to kill OP 2v1, then waiting until the boss had pretty much nuked them before hitting with a tiny amount of damage to get the "killing blow"...If you can't see the problem here you're either blind or also enjoy being lazy and getting Stones for pretty much 0% effort. They got you legit. you should have had eyes open for bosses m8, thats on you.
Food on them taking you outHope it was AD lol, great stone stealing.
Impale 1.7k? They still don't see that NB should be buffed?
I can see how that would be very frustrating. It's a fine line that ZOS needs to figure out how to handle. Still, if they implemented something that rewards Stones for the amount of damage done, rather than just getting the killing blow, it could help make things more fair not only for the person getting attacked, but for the person trying to legit beat them for their Stones.Impale 1.7k? They still don't see that NB should be buffed?
Don't know if serious or troll bait...
NB is the strongest class in IC. This comes from a Stam NB tank and I also tried Sorc and DK (and I always come back to my NB, guess why).
I want to have what you are smoking though.
Sucks that such a small damage proportion made this a player kill, resulting in you losing 90% of your Telvar stones. This seems to confirm that the killing blow is the one that determines who gets the stones.
Inversely, doesn't it suck when you DPS one guy down all the way, and he just jumps into an AOE and you get no stones?
This favours ganking as opposed to just fighting, and as a Nightblade, I can say quite honestly we don't need that to favour ganking even more.

Not fight or hug my Daedra mummy.

@Sausage You're inputting your own little words.
I'm not trying to "bait" or "troll" you're just clearly unable to comprehend my wording.

If two NB is ganking like you said, its best to use Detect Invisibility potions next time. Best of luck.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out

Which is OP's main issue - people putting 0% effort into earning the Stones. I don't care who you are, you should only get Stones from someone if YOU did more damage than any NPCs that you may or may not have dragged over to do the work for you.
This is what people are failing to understand. It's not that other players are killing us that's making us PO'ed, it's the fact that there are a lot of people are using cheap, underhanded, lazy tactics such as what OP described. Wanna drag a boss over to someone? Go right ahead, but then actually WORK to take out that person, instead of waiting from a safe distance doing jack all until the person has a sliver of HP remaining and then going "hurr durr tiem 4 stones lol" and doing barely any damage to get the killing blow.
It's not good game design, it only promotes laziness.

Indeed, the one time you probably don't want your set proccing on you. The main issue here though is unchanged, that being that it shouldn't be possible to claim a kill by waiting for NPCs to wear down your target and then tossing out a single attack to get their Stones.timidobserver wrote: »Yeah, legit. The Phoenix set screwed the OP over more than the boss. As far as I can tell from the recap, the boss got the first killing blow. The ganker got the post Phoenix killing blow.
