Here's a tool I made; maybe some of you will find it useful.
You type in your current Champion Rank. This tells you 2 things:

- How much XP you need to reach Champion Rank 501 under the current system of 400,000xp per rank
- How much XP you need to reach Champion Rank 501 using the new formula in Patch 2.2

✭hmmm... so I'll need to find an extra 12millon XP (assuming I earn none between now and then which is extremely unlikely), doesn't sound great first up but if that's the price we have to pay for a more balanced system then I'm happy to run with it. The people I'm most worried about at the moment are the guys/gals playing ESO for the first time or coming back from 6 months off, I think this will go a long way to making the power gap seem a lot less daunting for them....NA PC | AD

Talking about this for about week people starting noticing just now...
So for easier understanding from 338 CP - 501 CP you need full 99 VR Ranks in other words 6 New alts from 0 to Hero (VR16)
XP required 338-501 new system: 79,790,187 XP.
XP required 338-501 old system: 65,200,000 XP.
Good luck to those who have less than 338 CP now...

✭✭Rich posted the average which only includes active players (online last thirty days who have at least one character veteran rank one or above) Its on these forums somewhere also new veteran players will get to the cap faster as it requires 3/4 as much xp total to get to the cap. So many people are probably unaware of the discrepancy with proposed catch up mechanic that at from 348 CPs on YOU WILL NEED MORE THAN 400k XP to gain the next CP. Frankly it's incredibly stupid and I'm not sure why Zeni would design it that way.

I believe ZOS should give CP based on the new system. Say you have 1000 CP right now, when patch is live the recalculation based on the formula will now made them to have 800 CP aproximately.0 -

That's the definition of an average as it begins with Vet 1
