I pretty much only play stamina templar now. My 2 max level magicka DKs have been retired to crafting, so my new main is my stamplar, which I've been playing for a few months now. I've never had any issues with solo play and it's AMAZING in groups. It is wildly superior to Magicka DK right now and I've recommended for all of my DK friends to roll stamplar because the playstyle is pretty similar to what Magicka DK used to be. If you're having trouble killing things with your stamplar, check your build.

That is what i tried to do, sneaky DK works very good, but most DKs "insist" on using swordnboard..

That is what I hear of 99% of DKs, you guys sound to start like Sorcs when 1.6 hits: "But but..why cant i have 5x Sorc skills on both bars QQ...." Just pisses me off that ppl are always so small minded. I mean if you want to go full DK then go do some Roleplay

Its funny, because at first glance on your channel, I see nothing about magicka dk as of late, only stamina. But if I scroll I see magicka dk videos. Interesting.
All 4 of those skills you just mentioned favor playing stamina DK. I was not the best magicka DK by any means, but I was fairly good. And I also did play with the those I consider the best.
Magicka DK is not viable anymore. Possible maybe, but it is not the best choice for DK, and arguably the worst choice of all 8 combos.

I have never played Magicka DK before in PvP...just sayin lol. But seems now I have to test it
I am usually always on stam side since 1.3 in both PvE and PvP. But seems I have to give it a shot now...
Tho no matter what I come up with, ppl will say "Its not how you should play a DK"....da f....but w/e. keep thinking you will get to the old days of 1.5 where DK was ridiculous OP.
Maybe in the end you are right, maybe its utterly garbage, but you cannot excpect to do both anymore be tanky + deal OP dmg....choose one of both or go forum and QQ.

How is "The Decline and Fall of the Magicka DK" any different than "The Death of the Dragonknight"? Well the latter was at least a thoughtful constructive post, this is just "oh look how good DK used to be," which actually kinda inadvertently makes the case for the nerfs OP is complaining about.
How is redundancy in any way constructive?
It ends up being 20% legitimate discussion, 80% wah wah.
And 90% of the players complaining never admit that DKs ever had any overpowered issues either. ZOS may have went overboard with the nerf hammer, but the previous DK builds were terribly balanced and clearly the best on the battlefield for quite a long time.
We don't really need more of these threads, do we? Other classes have been at the bottom of the barrel for waaaay longer. Stam builds were at the bottom of the barrel until just recently. The tide will shift back in favor of DKs soon enough, so, even though a lot of my friends play DKs (and even though I have one as well) - chill with the gloom and doom already

There are only three builds that even work for DK at the present, and only two are PvP worthy.
- A full Heavy Armor Stam blocktank that is utterly useless in PvP
- A stamina nightblade build without the mobility or cloak
- A magicka sorc build without the mobility or shields (and no, igneous does not pass off as a viable replacement for hardened ward, sorry) and hope to hell you have a healer because you aint gonna be healing yourself
The Dragonknight has absolutely no legitimate role in PvP anymore. Any DK can be easily replaced by another class and the group will get stronger regardless of player.
Both of my DKs are now sitting on the shelf for the most part. Even my v2 stamplar gets more playtime now. At least the stamplar is useful. I wish i could class change Dannika to a sorc, at least then it would make sense and have the class skills to support what I am trying to do for the group.

its really that bad? I did not notice it last night:/ in fact a DK whooped my butt last night; it was embarrassing. lol
I found out a good way to kill people in the sewers with my magicka DK!
1. Go to the popular grind spot.
2. Pull all the mobs in a room and go right for the group of AD/DC farming.
3. Spam draw essence
4. Use Structured Entropy
5. Use Dawnbreaker of Smiting
6. Your next ult will be charged now, so use Bats.
7. Keep spamming Draw Essence; this is important you cannot stop.
8. Watch as the EXP/AP floods your screen as everyone just dies.
9. Look at your health/magicka bars and see the pretty 100% next to them. Smile and let the one NB get away while you act like your leaving.
10. Repeat steps 1 - 9 when said NB resurrects everyone!

DKs we're only ever overpowered when idiots charged them surrounded them and fed them ultimate to spam, yes, they were heavily unbalanced, but only ever overpowered when you fed them ultimate.
Last patch, and the previous patch, they were completely fine in terms of balance, obviously a little more tweaking needed to be done, but instead of tweaks, ZoS overhauled the game with the IC patch and neutered everything that made the Magicka DK good. All we can do is provide CC for a group... That's... Really it.. Can't even tank that well anymore, and don't get me started on our damage output lol.
