Will Inevitable Detonation deal different damage if i swap bars while the detonation is pending?

I have inevitable detonation on my second bar, which only has 1,600 spell damage. If i swap to my main bar with 2,135 spell damage while the detonation hasn't gone off, which will determine the damage of my detonation? The bar it was casted from or the one I swapped to? it's a 1,000 damage difference from one bar to another. Hope this wasn't a stupid question!

The damage will be calculated from the bar that you are on when the detonation explodes, afaik.

I know that Daedric curse definately scales with the bar you cast it with, not the bar you're having when it detonates.
Haven't tested detonation, but both are basically the exact same spell.

It should take it's damage from the casted bar.

I tested vigor, and when I switch to my bar with more weapon damage, the heal ticks don't increase.
    Haven't tested detonation though.

Darn. I have no room for it on my main bar so it seems I'm pretty screwed there. I'll see if I can live without streak on my main bar. I use it highly offensive so maybe I'll just deal with having a weak detonation idk. I'll just pop surge before and I should be ok. Thanks for the responses, guys!

Yes im pretty sure the damage is already calculated when you activate the spell. Which means switching bars won't affect damage on a DOT spell.

Im also quite sure that this is the case.

Its really easy to test btw, just equip one high level weapon and a low level weapon on your second bar. Now cast a DOT and switch weapons to see the difference in dmg ticks.

Ok, I didn't exactly do the most thorough test in the world, but after spending a solid hour with Mud Crabs it was pretty clear that the damage dealt from Inevitable Detonation was based on the bar you are on when the detonation occurs! That is good news for me since my weaker bar is the only place i have a slot open for it!

Hopefully you, too, can test it when you unlock it. I'd like to see confirmation from others!
