When I was just starting out with PvP in Cyrodiil, I joined up with a small group that was attempting to take a keep. I got into Teamspeak so I could better communicate and learn the ins and outs.

So, at some point during our run, I became separated and had to catch up. Meanwhile, the group was set upon while seiging but had managed to successfully stealth and stay hidden.

Oblivious, I kept riding right toward the crown on my compass. As I got closer, our leader narrarated my approach as he could see me. He warned me off the group, lest I give them all away.

Too late. I bumbled my steed right up to the group leader, we were made, the group was wiped and I was dutifully reamed even though my unknowing antics had been pretty hilarious.

TL;DR: Noobs

Hehe. Don't feel too bad. I have been in many a PuG run where the tank would kindly try to keep Bogdan turned away from the group by standing on the left corner of the platform, but then end up backing away too far and falling off the platform, after which time the three of us left would have to fend for ourselves, lol.... fun times!

Just had a new one for me:

had just crafted a weapon towards my crafted set V16 the 110 rubedite weapon was all shiny. As I was upgrading it; I had only selected 3 of 4 grain solvent when i clicked to upgrade. i got the red arrow and the sound of all my grind vanishing into thin air. I also remembered i had plenty of grain solvent on an alt. L2P issues are real.

Day 1 of IC patch we go to vet White Gold Tower. I am tank. It's going slow but we are coping. We get to the Scion of Wroth and I run up to him to taunt but before I get the taunt in he swats me with a big right claw and one shots me to the floor.

My tanking ego was in tatters as the rest of the group killed themselves laughing.

Then I hit the wrong button and bolt escape off the roof onto the blades of hungry PKers.

How? If you try to use a motif that you already know it throws up a message stating you already know that style and doesn't let you use it.

Guildmate cursing about how he hates changing the consumable every time through the inventory, confessing this why he never uses siege weps or wall repairs.

Asked him, why does he not use the quickbar.

He did not know it existed.

(This happened to more people, so I can only assume it's not trivial we have a quickbar on console for pots)

Was on the phone to someone from work during my day off. I was deconstructing some gear for mats. Conversation became heated and so without watching or paying attention to what I was deconstructing, I accidentally deconstructed my twice born star set which was in the bank. But thats not the funny bit, its the part where I also log a support ticket to ZOS reporting my twice born star set is suddenly missing from my bank when it was there 10 minutes ago. It haunts me still whenever I deconstruct anything.

Out of curiosity, how is the quickbar interface on console? On PC we've got a quickslot wheel, and I find the interface for it to be terrible - to the point that I slot items on it, but I almost never try to change which one is active while I'm in combat.

Wasn't really embarassing as such but also a extremely fun experience.

About an eternity ago, when there were one of the few first bombsquads, our leader had to leave for the evenng and nobody was in the mood to pick up the crown. So we decided to invite a random, who turned out to have no clue, and let him lead us for a couple of minutes.

Thanks, I'll check that one out! I currently use my F keys with Wykkyd's Macros to swap between skill/equipment profiles, but I can remap those to different keys.

on PS4 you have to slot it to a quick wheel and can only have one active at a time. you hold the up directional button and use the analogue sticks to change your set item it takes 1.5 seconds or so and you cannot move or attack while waiting or selecting. you use the active item by quickly hitting the up button.

Well the first day of IC I get enough monster teeth to open up a vault.I get agility Ring with stamina Recovery one of the best finds.So I go to Craglorn sense I didn't have a trading guild at the time.I talked this dude into buying it fromnke for 350,000 Gold when I only had 10k.So when went to trade and it turns out that I blanked and already equipped it.

I attacked a group of mobs that ended up killing all the members in my dungeon group.

My group was all mad at me and asked, "Why the heck did you do that, we were in disguise and could have walked right past them!".

oops.. forgot I put on a disguise. What a great way to start out a group dungeon.

I guess my personal embarrassing moment was when I was complaining in guild about a horrendous pug I had just left because it was just too horrible to waste my time with. I didn't name names but the situation was pretty specific.

Later I notice that two of the people in my pug were in my guild. I'm fairly certain if they read guild chat, they knew it was about them. Oops.

I ran with them again a few days later in a guild group and it turns out they're pretty terrible even when playing a different class, so I didn't feel so bad afterwards knowing it wasn't a one-time fluke.
