I'm a healer (level 31), I try to keep my dungeon group search up all the time, and the tool has successfully found me TWO dungeon groups, and one of those wasn't even for the dungeon for which I was searching.

I don't know if it's the tool or that so few people have confidence in it that they don't use it. Also, I don't know if the tool tries to only find other players within a few levels of you, which narrows the pool even more. If that's true, then I'd wish they'd open it up because if the lowest-level player is the leader then it doesn't matter what level the other players are (although I'm not sure if it has any bearing on loot level).

The upcoming base game patch that will be released at the same time as the upcoming Orsinium DLC comes with some improvements to the tool which (on paper anyway) sound like they should significantly increase your odds of getting a dungeon group together using it without much time waiting.

Currently the tool only looks for players within your alliance, and within a certain level range who are queuing for the same dungeon as you. The changes to the tool include broadening the search so that characters from different alliances can be grouped for a dungeon (theoretically tripling the pool for your search), as well as looking for characters of all levels. When you use the tool to queue for a dungeon, everyone going into the dungeon will be battle-leveled to VR15, although the loot that you receive will be based on your actual level. This way you could end up in a group with a level 12, a level 45, a VR12, and a VR16 and everyone would be able to play together on a relatively even playing field.

So yeah, it sounds like the tool will be vastly improved. Hopefully it works well, and hopefully the changes will be widely announced so that lots of people will use it.

Also, running dungeons with guildies is always lots of fun. That's my preferred method of doing them - whether it's with guildies I've played with before, or ones who I don't know. If you're on the NA server and looking for a good guild, let me know your in-game @ name and I can fire off a guild invite to Lone Wolf Help when I'm home from work. It's a super friendly, helpful guild where we do regular group nights for dungeons and stuff, and it's usually easy to find people to group with at other times too.

As mentioned the leg tool is ..... Garbage.

That being said the next dlc comes with a base game patch that includes an improved lfg took.
