So about the Group Finder.

Does anyone actually use it? Has anyone that's not a tank gotten a group with it?
It just seems it just does'nt seem to work anymore. When the game launched, you sometimes had to wait a while for a group but nowdays it seems impossible? I've spent days and several hours at a time queing as a DPS and sometimes even as a healer but has never seen anything happen.

So im curious is it flat out broken or has people just given up and stopped using it at all. Especially at the lower levels.

Works pretty decently most of the time, at least until you get in and no one uses voice chat and don't realize they are in a group, and then they just drop group. I am on PS4 NA

I haven't gotten it to work at all recently. On ps4 I've found a group one time (a while back). After spending many hours queued for groups with it never finding anyone, IMO it's broken and useless.
Play on PS4 I do like the game, I just feel it could be a lot better and would like to feel like the devolpers actually care about the game and not just making money

On PC I had it work twice for dungeons and I set it to search during almost every gameplay. I'm a healer so I list myself as both a healer and DPS.

I'm curious how it does the searching, though; whether it actually looks for all available players who want a group for a specific dungeon or if it tries to only find players within a few levels of your level, which would make it more difficult to find a group for a lower-level dungeon if you're higher level. As a healer I don't mind running a low-level group through, as long as I'm not the group leader so the content is leveled to appropriately.

I usually queue as a DPS and healer (although I'm dropping the DPS part seeing as I'm speccing for almost pure healing).

If I get a group, more often than not nothing happens...nobody else warps to the dungeon and then people start dropping group.

I hit L26 the other day...so far I've run Fungal Grotto and Wayrest Sewers. That's it....and the Wayrest run wasn't planned, the Fungal group I was in decided to keep going.

I've given up on the group finder for now...and am seriously thinking of taking a guild mate up on his offer to walk in with him. I'll take the lead so the dungeon is leveled to me, and essentially follow as a Vet ranked player kills everything in sight without breaking a sweat.

Its getting a major overhaul with the new expansion in November. Hopefully it will fix all of the current issues with it.

    From the PTS patch notes:

    Grouping Tool Improvements

We have performed a significant mechanical overhaul of the Grouping Tool. It will now find groups more rapidly and reliably when looking for any available group. Below are the first steps on the road to making the Grouping Tool an adventurer’s best friend – look for additional improvements in a future update.
Groups formed for dungeons will always be teleported directly to the dungeon once formed, and will always be scaled to a level ceiling.
After a group is formed, you can either teleport immediately, or wait up to 30 seconds before you are sent to the dungeon so you can complete your current activity.
Loot will be contextualized to your level.
While everyone will be scaled up to VR15, you will always get loot drops appropriate for your level. For example, if you are VR2, you will still get VR2 loot drops.
Groups can now be formed across all three alliances. It is entirely possible for two Aldmeri characters to team up with an Ebonheart and Daggerfall duo to complete a dungeon.
If you form a group for Cyrodiil or the Imperial City, you will not be teleported anywhere.
To help consolidate the tool, we’ve removed the ability to queue for individual quests. That said, we do still want to encourage you to work together to defeat difficult world bosses and quests!
Groups may still be formed as normal. If any group formed normally within the game world enters a dungeon, it will follow normal dungeon rules. Groups formed via the Grouping Tool operate differently to ensure a rapid cadence of group formation.
For example, if you walk into a dungeon with three VR16 player characters and the group leader is VR2, all monsters will be VR2.

I'm on console and PTS only now so
Yes it works 100% of the time less than 1 hour on Xbox one NA when I'm solo and queue for any dungeon levels 20-VR12

When grouping with 1 -2 others it sometimes finds others but often times with others it can take a min of 1 hour or longer

There are frequent times it groups only three which is more than enough to complete any ref dungeon....not so much for vet dungeons

Doesn't work. I've waited in que as a healer for hours with no success. Group Finder atm is definitely not casual friendly.

its pointless. i really have no idea how ZOS expects people to run group content on console.
    it blows my mind really.
I've never seen a mmo where people on my friends list run so little group content.
without text to form groups people are relegated to the crap shoot of whichever people are on in their guilds at a given time.
So, basically we have a pool off maybe 100 players max too pull from for groups as opposed to 10,000s . pitiful
Seriously. its why 75% of the people i know that started the game at launch are already gone and not coming back.
i garauntee you if they look at the %s of PC players running dungeons/trials. DSA and compared it to console players that its like 100/1 becuase we have no way of forming PUGs.
Wake the F up ZOS. you cant sustain an mmo community without text.

I agreed with everything except the last sentence. I remember there were days where I didn't feel like communicating on World of Warcraft. So I qued for random dungeons and raids all day, completed the end game content and went on with the rest of my night. ZOS can successfully allow dungeon grouping without text chat if they added the necessary group finder improvements.
