Brainstorming: PvE / Magicka Sorc - dual wield on both bars?

Let's play a brainstorming game: Is there any way that a sorc with dual wield (or 2h, that's details) on both bars to be viable in PvE?

To maybe get this discussion going:
As we focus on magicka, no DW/2h skill is useful to be spammed. The only way I see is to spam crystal frags. Maybe a viable option in tank&spank encounters, but definitely not in encounters that need us to include any movement.

What do you think? Any other spam cast that is not in the destruction staff line?

You could try shadow silk, but it's less dps than force pulse + fire staff light attack. Volcanic rune might also be an option as it triggers empower every time you use it.

Very interesting idea, but I see a couple of downsides:

a) damage is lower (as you already said), and losing 30% of DPS by spamming "something else" will not be covered by the additional spell damage you get from using DW or 2h
b) magicka consumption is way higher (30-40%). I doubt that you can deal sustain damage with that consumption.

It could be viable with pet build and DW or 2H for max dmg damage, DW if spell dmg < 2035, 2H if spell dmg > 2035 or max magicka 40k+. The damage would come from spamming Crystal Blast, Deadric Prey and both pets. To get max dmg from pets you would need to stack into max magicka and use Daedric Prey + Inner Light.

You would need to light attack twice every 6 seconds to get the Molag Kena dmg buff and keep the ultimate regen going. For range situations this would mean switching to your resto/destro staff bar.

Bar 1 (2H): Crystal Blast, Deadric Prey, Inner Light, 2x Pets - Power Overload
Bar 2 (resto/destro): Healing Ward/Pulsar or Elemental Drain, Hardened Ward, Inner Light, 2x Pets - Greater Storm Atronach
Overload bar: Hardened Ward, Liquid Lightning, Inner Light, 2x Pets
*note: you must use spell dmg pots

Gear setup:
-3x Willpower jewelry arcane (3x spell dmg enchants)
-4x Spell Power Cure
-2x Molag Kena
-2x Magnus

Thief mundus stone (Edit: you might need Atronach mundus for magicka sustain)

Maybe something to try out on PTS?

humm... that's kinda tricky

As sorcerers we just lack something actually spammable and we dont have many non-DoT damage skills.
I think spamming a single Skill like shadow silk or something similar won't work out.

But we could try to rotate DoTs (or wannabe DoTs^^):

Inevitable Detonation -> Velocious Curse -> Entropy -> Liquid Lightning-> Scalding Rune -> Velocious Curse -> repeat

Plus Crytal Frags whenever they Proc. I think, it should be a 10 sec-rotation with crystal frags. Dunno about the dps.

The difficulty would be to construct a solid rotation because all skills have different durations.
