I pay gold for siege and repair kits (with the exception of Pact Ballista), in the hope that someday, something I want will cost AP.

Now I have a pile of gold and a pile of AP, just waiting for something to spend it on.

You must not be a huge AP earner. I easily have 3 mil AP lying around and that's on the low-end for all the other top-tier PvPers I know. We just have nothing to spend it on.

I sometimes use gold when I'm short on AP, but it's still pretty expensive to solely rely on it. Getting people to repair walls on BWB can be tricky at times when I'm on. I'll easily go through 25-30 repair kits on outer and inner walls, then I pick up a new siege each time as well. So based on 30 repair kits and a siege, that's 3,150 gold per capture. I spend all my time in Cyrodiil so I don't have a steady income, except when I sell all the frost staves I get for my rewards. I have roughly 3.5k on me now.

Not the biggest earner, but I float around in the top 10 on the leaderboards for my campaign because I'm quite active.

Ah, I also see that you play on BwB, AP isn't the biggest gain there xD

I played a BwB campaign and it was a blast, but a whole campaign being Empress and all I earned was about 800k, a lot less than what would have been earned on a Vet campaign :P

Yeah it's BWB. I haven't played the vet ones yet, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. It does seem to take an awful long time to level the alliance skill trees. Every time someone manages to rank up a level, you get a CONGRATS OMG WELL DONE like it's some big achievement. That's how bad it is xD

It will most certainly hit the crown store a few weeks after the update, going by what happened with the glass motif, and I am sure that it won't be BoP so people will just sell it on guild stores.

Most other motifs are found in PVE. They don't fall out of another players arse when you defeat them in PVP. It'll be nice not to have to grind for something for a change. I hope to god this doesn't go to the crown store, at least not for a long time.

Seeing as I've been praying for the Akaviri style motif since I got the game, they shouldn't wait too long to put it on the crown store. Just because most of the other motifs have been based on grinding in pve, doesn't mean they need to subjugate pve'ers to a mode of gameplay that they simply dislike. Buy your motif frags with AP like the rest of the players with hundreds of hours devoted to pvp play and millions of AP, but let me buy a cosmetic item with cash if I so choose. I'll gladly feed ZoS's bottom line to look how I want.

You have to slog through PVE to get most of the gear. There's new gear in Orsinium, but guess what? Yeah, we'll have to PVE for that too. I can't help but feel we deserve something exclusive - even if it's just a style to say "I earned this in combat", not "I bought this in the crown store for fifty bucks".

Do not put this in Crown store. People who dont PvP simply do not get to have it. Its not Unfair, its a normal part of any MMO. In fact, go one step further, make it only wearable after a certain PvP ranking. XD

I feel their should be more than one way to obtain items in the game. Rather it be with real life work, PvE, or PvP. Why support elitism?

While agree that you should have a memento or vanity item, I don't think that locking such a sought-after motif behind a game mode that not even half the community regularly plays is a little much. Not going to get into a full blown pvp/pve debate here, but what's the point of restricting a non-game-changing cosmetic item from being bought with cash...even if it's only temporarily? It does you no favors outside of letting you be a special snowflake for awhile and all it does is help fund ZoS. I see no problem with them releasing that motif at launch of Orsinium tbh.

I bought tons of siege equipment and repair kits. I don't have a lot of inventory space so my ap just stars to add up. Plus I'm a healer that runs solo. I'm trying to get some of the support passive so I grind out cyrodill pretty hard.
