Okay, so I apologize ahead of time if there is a post like this buried somewhere in the forums, however -- after doing dungeons with groups looking for specific items to gear people in my guild to continue to progress into harder content - my experience with said dungeons and loots I would like to bring this topic up. I hate to use the World of Warcraft comparison and not that it wasn't without its issues, (loot ninjas) but, I think that for 'bind on pickup' items we should be able to have a system to 'roll the dice' so to speak off of bosses and trash mobs that also drop set items. I do love how the loot is set up to where you do individually get your own stuff to break down for mats, but for the actual bind on pickup set items, I would prefer the option of being able to give it to the person in my group who can use it. With a dice roll type system or something similar, it would still maintain the integrity of the bind on pickup, but the actual person who can use it - gets it.
Or heck, if you are a master crafter, to have the ability to... even once a week take off the 'bind' to give that piece to the player who actually needs it or even to sell it to make extra cash. It would be an awesome perk to being a master crafter and I think this would make it even more interesting to have to get/search for that special magic item that gives you that ability.
I can't tell you how many times, as a tank, I loot things that would work for the healers or sorcerers that I run with regularly. And as a tank, I love my healer, I want him/her to have everything they need for a successful dungeon completion. There are may times I will do a helm run for guild-mates and everyone but the person we are actually going for gets a helm with the right trait and make on it, ie: light with divines ect after doing the same dungeon many times over. And to be honest, it kind of burns me out. What does everyone else think?
