2. Why the frig am I seeing messages from Cyrodiil when I'm not in Cyrodiil.

Because you joined a home campaign.

Go to Options.

Because you are homed to Trueflame, so all big events wil show, think there are addons that stop it, but I cannot remember what they are.

I know, I wish they'd make these notifications optional, could easily be in one of the settings menus - turn off, turn on, or only display when you are in the campaign they relate to: 3 options, everyone happy.

If you're on PC the add on is esoui.com/downloads/info865-Nothankyou.html

But it only works outside of AVA. If you are homed on a campaign you will see them while in Cyro.

Aye that addon by Garkin is ace, Kill Counter also gives real time intel in Cyro too, but to block all notications I am unsure.

Best bet is not to be homed at all, and guest.

Yup true, I would not personally do that, as I like killing people, but in trying to help the OP to the best of my knowledge, notifications doesnt bother me from PvP at all, and No Thank You is a god send, as I used to hate the constant notifications about trial completes hehe.
