Why so many AD players in PVP

Having spent a lot more time in PVP since IC dropped I have come to be curious why there are so may more AD PVP players than DC and EP players in PVP. I am really curious where the imbalance comes from.
It is particularly important in the current era when important resources (jewelry) are gated behind PVP areas that the largest group can and does effectively deny less numerous factions from accessing the grind with zergs.
So any know why there are so many more AD PVP players than any other faction?

Kuroinu✭✭✭✭✭Curiosity to a degree may have effected this. All the Aldmeri Dominion zones have never been explored in any TES game until now.
You could say the same for Daggerfall Covenant zones to an extent since TES II was visually nothing like the games to come, but perhaps people aren't so attracted to those races you have to choose without the "Any Race, Any Alliance" upgrade.
Even Ebonheart Pact zones have a strong pull because of the nostalgia attached to them from previous titles.0 -

When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. snackrat✭✭✭At this point, I suspect it is largly self-fufilling. Regardless of how it started (altmer's magic bonuses so good? Cats so cool? Exotic locations?) at this point, people move to AD faction for the PvP.0 -

✭✭Not sure which system you're playing. Can tell you though, DC is vastly out numbered on Azura's Star, NA PC campaign. AshTal✭✭✭✭It does seem like a lot of PvPers are AD but it could be just a handful of PvP guilds with organised powerful PvPers can wipe the floor with larger groups and not spend large amounts of time huddled round trying to decide where to go1 -

EP is the fotm/zerg faction which can be seen in the pop-bars during prime time and even beyond.
Disabling the grass may improve performance.4 -

✭It really depends on the campaign and the time of day. On some campaigns, I notice EP is the number one forces and other campaigns, AD is. I never seen one with the DC as the "Top Dog" yet. That faction (DC) seems to be the weakness in terms of number of players.0 -

✭It's because people are to narrow minded to write megaserver, campaign and platform on this forum, when raging about zergs and population imbalance.
For those who do
Others are challenged or uninformed, not knowing this game has 3 platforms and 6 megaservers. Or maybe they think they're somehow famous, so everyone automatically knows where they play?
Point is, faction balance, buff servers, annoying zerg of the year and drama going down, it looks very very different depending on where you play. There's no faction that automatically gets all players + zergs across the entire game. It's rather about where active PvP guilds and especially strong and pushy leaders(they tend to burn out), plays at that very moment.1 -

zornyan✭✭✭✭✭Probably because ad has the worst story line of them all, I'm sorry but yes the areas look nice, but it is the most boring faction to play. All the areas are laid out horribly. I seriously enjoy DC and ebonheart....but doing silver in ad makes me cry0

yeah, I can't do non vet IC at all, dominion kicks everyone out of quest areas then hogs them all day... even on scourge a mixed EP dominant campaign they zerged in took over and caltroped the arena door
