PS4, new community feature

So, the new community feature is out for PS4.

I see alot of potential in it, but it's still to be improved, as it's not still very confortable to use.

I was already able to use it to do daily vet dungeon, even if the communities I joined so far have very few subscribers (like a max of 15 or so).

By the way, does have someone already created some bog ESO community I can't find? Especially Ebon/EU?

Should be a good idea to build one/some starting from this forum population, in order to have a good starting players pool?

Last PS4 os update include a "Community" feature, that allow players to create a messageboard-like "page", where registered members can post messages/pictures, start invites, parties etc. I think it could become useful, somehow replacing the missing text-chat in ESO. I have found few international ESO communities, so far, most of them with few registered member, but, as mentioned, I see a lot of potential in thius feature.

Yeah, I agree a search feature, with refinement options like timezone etc would be much value.

This is a Sony first-party PS4 feature rather than a ZOS in-game ESO feature, I assume?

I jumped right in after the update and created a trade community that now has over 300 people so while yes, a search feature is definately needed and they need to fix the most popular page, as long as a community creater puts the time in the word should get around and have people coming in. Plus there's no limit or negatives with being in a community so I don't see why ps4 users won't jump on this feature

Yes it does, I double tap all the time. It flicks between your last two active apps - I often use it to flick between a game and a website and back again when looking for something like Skyshard locations.

If you don't do that, app switching is a pain on PS4.

The idea here is to have a ESO EU LFG Dungeon Community setup with hundreds of members then just use the double tap to send invites to people in game without it being too far removed from a proper text channel within ESO

Also, if you scroll down your selected game in the psn dashboard (You know, where you can rate, view the trophies you earned in that game, and get an overview of your activity) you'll find they added a Communities tab. Selecting that will pop the Communities menu where it shows the most recent 100 communities for that game.

It's not a perfect substitute for a search bar, but it'll at least get you closer to finding a community to join.

Last night while grouping around with friends I got a message saying a new post was posted to my community. When I went to look though, I didn't see anything. Got the message again, still nothing... Am I missing something here because I assume new posts display on community wall? Is this thing bugged or what?

Sometimes it seems to have a delayed reaction to when a post shows up. For example, I joined a friend's community for Destiny last night. I wrote a small introduction saying hi and posted it. About ten minutes later, I get a notification saying a new post was added. I checked and didn't see any other new post added but mine. However, I did notice the time stamp on the post said I added it "just now"

Guess its still got some kinks to iron out.
