Would you be still playing the Imperial City if the Level Cap had NOT been increased?

This is assuming that everything in the IC was the same except all gear you got was V14.

This also assumes that DSA and Trials would still be endgame content yielding endgame gear.

Yes, I like working for the new gear, the quests and the Tel Var system - even if it was all V14

No, I liked my old gear much better. I'm only here because I have to be.

Meh, without V16, I would have bought it anyway, played around with it a bit, then gone back to what I was doing before.

I like that we are able to have more of a say over what gear we can acquire with the trophies and Tel Var stones but having more sets with VR16 jewellery or having jewellery crafting available would have been better.

I wish two things with Imperial City:

    More jewellery sets.

Less grind for monster trophies. So much grind.

    Yes, of course.

I enjoy the content and the new sets.

The sewer zergs, gankers and Tel Var looting have totally killed my enjoyment of this DLC. If it weren't for VR16, I would leave Imperial City (forever!) the moment I get my 2nd Willpower ring. Unfortunately, the XP and loot SUCK everywhere else, so I have nowhere else to go, even after my gear is finalized.

I agree, once i get my gear im getting far away from imperial city. Imperial city ruined so many v14 set's (since there is no v16). Trail's and DSA is now worthless. How is this a good thing? I would of prefered the game stay at v14 and get new set's introduced.

This poll told me pretty much what I thought. Some people are gonna love the imperial city, others hate it. Most would have played it anyway had they not stolen all our gear.

But because they did a gear grab, some people resent that and have a bad feeling towards the IC that could have been avoided.

The marketers ZOS listens to were wrong. You don't have to force everyone to grind in order to get people to buy the DLC.

I would have enjoyed the IC much more if I didn't feel forced to play and have my build and my playstyle destroyed by having all my gear grabbed.

The need to update the outer Cyrodiil Elite gear vendor to V16, update trials and DSA and not be so worried about forcing people to play IC.

People will play it anyway. Forcing us just creates ill will.

Isn't IC just the new paid grind spot? Ever other grind is insta-nerfed, but IC is where all the cool kids go to level quickly.

    No answers fit.

I played it until I finished the district quests and saw the dailies. I got to VR15 and a little over a half. Once I heard Orsinium had the same level cap I quit. I'd rather spend my time on Orsinium to finish my cap.

Meh, without V16, I would have bought it anyway, played around with it a bit, then gone back to what I was doing before.
I felt it was definitely worth a rental, 1 month sub, but I don't need to buy it.

I really liked the story quest. I was able to solo almost all of it. The only points I needed help were the Temple and Arena events. And by help I mean I remained in the area while an enemy group cleared it for me, once while dead, the other while stealthed respectively.
I found the Drake of Blades to be an odd and quirky, but ultimately a really likable character. And did anyone else notice the eight soldiers in the Noble District garrison share the first letters of their names with the eight divines and have matching personalities too? That was a nice touch.

It's definitely easy to burst through levels and CP in IC. But I was also able to grind CP in Craglorn, so it's nice but not required. (Plus word is CP might get capped) I'm currently geared up for the time being. I can always buy what else I need from the guild stores, and I'll see what the next DLC has to offer.

I lost less than 3000 TV stones, and most of those times it was to an NPC, often for the blood port. I banked everything when enemy players were in the area. I liked the fights in the districts, as long as the groups were about the same size. When a campaign went one locked faction vs. two single bars it was less so. And the only bigger pain than a ganker in the sewers is an emperor. I'm ready to get back to normal PvP.

imperial city = grinding city... aint awesome at all, all v16 costs should be reduced by half, from trophy for mats cost and so on.

I didn't mind "grinding" AA and Hel-Ra to get my Aether set. I had so much fun running those trials over and over, and when I finally completed that set, I had such a feeling of accomplishment. It had bad-ass stats, it boosted my DPS, and it had a unique look. You could spot someone in Aether from a mile away. It was a badge of accomplishment. Soon after I acquired it, that set was made obsolete by a change in the meta. Spell Crit to charge Ult was no longer a "thing." Fine. It's an MMO, that's what happens. I'll grind out whatever is next on the treadmill. The problem for me is that acquiring V16 gear is no longer about "raiding", it's purely "grinding." I got my Aether set by making friends and learning to play as a group. We learned how to dominate AA/Hel-Ra, and we were rewarded for putting together a cohesive unit. It's different now. Getting V16 gear doesn't require that. It just requires massive time-sink of sewer farming. THAT IS NOT FUN! Instead of mastering a trial, now you just have to grind endless amounts of trash mobs and amass a ridiculous amount of raw mats to craft your new gear, or bang your head against RNG hoping for the pieces you want. Raiding is fun. Grinding is not.

No I do not like grinding new gear.

Would I play the imperial city? Absolutely. Why? Beating the hell out of people in the memorial district.
