So, boss mechanics?

Maybe something other than throwing as many adds as us as you can while boss drops either pbaoe or ground targe aoe? Every boss is the same.......gets old. No imagination in boss fights. Wgt second boss tries really hard with the granades, but still....

    If bosses had more intricate mechanics then the people would complain.

    Hardcore/veteran players in ESO get no love..

    Are you serious? Theres tons of different kind of things what bosses do. I suppose you meant IC bosses? Yeah, they seems to be the same.

    Yeah dead serious......right off the top of me head, dark shade vet. Every boss has adds and aoe. Ok so some have beams......

    How about adding something like a lava flow and having to drag the boss through it to make it vulnerable or a fire boss that when stands in the puddles of water on the ground takes more damage...I don't know but yeah they are all pretty much the same.

    sounds like you enjoy cata on wow abit there :wink: i will say pulling a boss through fire or something was a interesting design choice would love to see that kinda style be used in this game but there is some good bosses in this game i just did Arx Corinium & the singing serpent with pet design was very interesting & fun.

    Would it really matter? Once people figure out the "trick" they're all just speed bumps to completing the dungeon.

    No you're not. That one boss, where one player needs to go inside that portal, or where you need to interrupt NPCs, or block when AOE dmg comes etc. Man I could make massive list of things what bosses do in this game.

    Wow had some good boss fights I will give it that. Black wing lair had some crazy boss fights with cool design elements that made you actually have to have planning and coordination between tanks and dps, or people breaking eggs or sneaking to turn off suppression stones.

    There is a werewolf mini boss on a quest through Glenumbra (I think?) where you have to drag him through fires that appear on the floor before he'll be vulnerable to damage.

    Yes, it's not in a veteran dungeon or trial, but it is already there :P

    I agree though. I really like the Inhibitor fight (vWGT 3rd boss) and the Flesh Abomination with the hoarver bug explosion. I think they are introducing some interesting mechanics. The issue is when enough DPS means you can completely skip mechanics...

    Blocking to avoid aoe is not a mechanic. And you're talking about the spider Daedra where you go through a portal? For what? To fight adds.......having to hit a switch to encase the boss in a field to stop aoe would be a mechanic. Or having to do a puzzle to get back through the portal would be a new mechanic.

    yea they did have some good ones but after while it got kinda blah with deathwing final battle i mean it wasn't Ice crown or dark temple it had the mechanics but it just lack any spirit at all

    The Planar Inhibitor and Ibomez the Flesh Sculptor have some reasonably interesting mechanics. Also, while the Serpent fight isn't completely unique, using the death-scream of the Lamia to blow up the totems is interesting as well as the mana bombs. The lightning storm atro in AA would be kinda neat if it had enough health to actually force you into the mechanic.

    Sounds like you want to play a game with dynamic mechanics, not just stats, rinse and repeat. Play all the Zeldas! Maybe you have. If so, not sure what to tell you. Games with dynamic mechanics are hard to find these days.
