with the broken grouping tool and no zone chat how in the world are you supposed to find groups efficiently? Without a mic it's pretty much impossible. Suggestions?

You can use websites, forums, or even your console's network chat which also doubles as a text chat with people you invite into the chat party. And of course there is also messaging them.

Join a guild or three and message or invite players from there. You can see their level and job etc on the Guild roster.
Lots of people in the same position so it's easy to find people you can work with.

Or lurk outside the places you want the group for and look for likely candidates.
Many people are too shy to ask.
You can message people by the name over their head!

If you put your details on here - platform, NA/EU, your level, your job, EP/AD/DC you'll probably find a bunch of people offer to group with you because they have the same problem.

All of which takes a lot more time than it would with a Text Chat option IN GAME.

Its nearly impossible to get groups going.

Some people might be lucky enough to have an active group of friends to play with but not everyone is in the same position. I've joined multiple AD PvE guilds and they never worked out, always a core of people that play together.

People that think that inviting everyone you see in game to join a party in the hopes that they are looking or standing outside a dungeon on the off chance to form a party are crazy. Why do simple things in this game need to be so difficult and time consuming? Spending hours trying to form a group is not enjoyable.

The chances of getting text chat are small at this point but group finder should have been sorted ages ago.

I just go do the daily pledge everyday. I stand at the undaunted and ask for a group then I run up to the mourn hold wayshrine and ask for a group. Once I find one and if they run the vet dungeon ok I add them to my friends list. I can usually get a group straight off my friends list now

Actually if you have or know of a good website to visit via PC it doesn't, especially if you have no keyboard to plug into your console.

This game needs alot more than just normal group finder. Ive thought, first of all it needs be something like, more you help, more awesome you're, because theres more demand for group content that theres players, so my proposition is that, players can make requests/wishes, and for other people, they have 5 daily ticket to answer for those, and if they answer they get reward, reward could be some legendary cp-booster like 400% for 1-2 hour. Also more you answer for requests, higher your reward is, that should mean even theres tons and tons of group, every player get them done.

Firmware 3 for PS4 is out today and includes a lot of community options, such as inbuilt forums etc.

What we need to do is add an LFG EU/NA Dungeon X community for each dungeon and then form groups there. It's all we can do for now unless ZOS create a text channel for us

You can flip back and forth between the game and the community by double-tapping the PS button

Just add some little thing to the UI from where you can see if theres requests. Let say Bob wants to do Craglorn quest, he put a request, whole community see it on their UI and can answer for it, if they finish the quest/dungeon/whatever, they are rewarded. This is serious issue, later in the future we get even Craglorn 2 what is gonna add even more group-content and not to mention Zen loves to add dungeons too. Orsinium adds two more. We are literally drowning in group-content, my idea should be very effective way to deal with it.

Use the Mic that came with your console. Guild I'm in is chatty and several groups form every day for pledges and other things. On our Facebook page we were accused of having a core of players that always grouped together, there was a reason for this, when someone logged in and said "anyone fancy doing some group stuff" it was always the same people that responded. You can't expect to be asked individually, just speak up, often in our guild one of the"regulars " would step out of the group to make room for new guys so they can get involved.

Man there's some really good suggestions on here. Obviously I'm not the only one who feels this way and I can't be the first making a complaint about it. Do you think they are reading these forums? I mean they have to know what the players want and need right??

What's the point of adding more group content when they made it more difficult to access?

Use the Mic that came with your console. .

Let's be honest here, even if there are 500 people in your guild - the odds of a healer, tank and two DPS within 3 levels of each other being online at the same time and all needing to do the same dungeon are slim. There are 16 pages of members in my guild and at best 10 people are online at any one time - all different levels from 30 to V16.

The fact is, you need a text LFG chat channel that reaches everyone in game to put groups together. Even more so for trials. Not only that, but they need to allow cross faction PVE instanced dungeons to maximise the chance of getting together in reasonable time. Even Destiny, with all it's faults, can get grouping right on a console

What about people who can't use a mic? This was my original question. I can't use a mic when I play because I only play when my children are sleeping. Some other form of communication in game is needed. I don't want to use my phone or a pc when I have a controller in my hands.

I think by the time zenimax corrects their mistake of leaving out basic grouping and social tools this game wil be beyond saving on consoles.

But I really really hope I'm wrong.

Unless you can't speak you would need to go and purchase a headset/mic if you don't have the one that came with you console or if you broke the one that came with it.

There are also esolfg and other sites, and the console forums under the game which are used to create massive friends lists to play with others

Actually we're quite lucky in my guild as we do dungeons etc for fun or if just one person needs to do it others are happy to join in, some of us will log in to ALTs to full the gaps needed our have the levels close together and it works well, we're about 80 members and normally between 10 and 20 in chat at any one time. We have an abundance of templar healers and various dps, a shortage of tanks but have a few and we can normally get through most pledges without if needed.

That said, from newer guild members comments I do get that I am lucky to be in a friendly chatty guild as the new guys have said they've been in guilds with200+ members but rarely more than

Just a quick tip, you'll regret trying to be silent while your kids sleep as it will become permanent habit for them. Allow a normal noise level including talking, they will sleep fine and not wake up at the slightest gust of wind within a very short time if they're young enough. Did this with mine and they sleep a solid 12 hours every night and go off in about 20 minutes.
