I have to spend 3,000 gold each time? How come there is no stats preview option where you can allocate points, check stats, without having to pay 3,000?

-You have to spend the gold, unfortunately. That's where math comes in for the percentages

-There no preview option available for CPs

You actually don't spend the 3,000 until you confirm the redistribution.
I do it all the time.

Holy crap!!! So what I did was hit redistribute, allocate my points, exit the menu and checked my stats.

Bingo. It changed. It worked. I can check the new stats without paying.
