How many mudcrabs does it take to get to the center of the Chitin Accumulator Achievement?

For real, though, these 10-point low-tier dye achievements are the hardest in game, only thing close to that are the fishing achievements. There are more Emperors than there are people with a full set of these. There are more people with full Hard Mode Trial clears than with a full set of these. That should be indicative of a problem with the drop rate.
They still drop off anything that gives XP, which means the Silver and Gold zones are still good for them, right? I remember they had made some kind of adjustment recently, and I'm worried that this is no longer the case. I used to be getting stuff in Silver and Gold areas "just fine" (read: at absurdly low and wildly varying drop rates) but I'm at probably 10k mudcrabs across all my characters and still have nothing. Not that I can try to get them on anything but my main anymore, with the way they changed their bankability. :-(

They drop the Polished Shell Shard collectible, I think you are thinking of a different achievement. The ones where you have to kill a certain number of creatures of a given type are way easy. ;-)Men'Do PC NA AD Khajiit

I spent hours and hours, and then some more hours farming a dwemer delve, to get the gyro and the dynamo. Got the gyro, not the dynamo. Got so tired of it i left it, had completed the kill dwemer constructs a long time ago and really couldnt see anymore of the yellow basterds.
Then did a daily gold darkshade. Came out with 5 FIVE dynamos ...

I don't know how something can vary so drastically like that. I've tried to get a troll skull for literally months, slaying them for hours and hours on different characters, one of them gained 7 levels before they had to stop because they no longer got XP from the things. ✭The World May Never KnowKeep in mind also, that the last update added insult to injury when they made the collectible trophy items non-bankable, so you can't even farm them on alts anymore.
