Yep. You are right Kungmoo. I noticed it last night on a Whirlwind dmg comparison.
This needs fixing asap.
A lot of people I know are using this 5x as a base for dps after spending all their saved mats, money and enchants, and are getting gimped by this.
Myself included.
I pray to the merciful gods of Zos to let let us know if this is going to be fixed soon.1 -

No bug, smaller spell damage bonus, help with sustain
OR
Kagrenac's Hope, better spell damage, but the bug
Given how long it takes me to accumulate materials it matters to me.

It's not bugged. It's just some people can't handle damage in new dungeons.
I assumed the same. Wearing a full V16 legendary Kagrenac set and til now I failed to notice anything odd besides the fact that it is an awesome transition set til you will get the one from the tower (which might last a few years concerning the randomness and rarity of drops...).
I avoid PvP like hell though and didn't wear it in IC or Cyrodiil at all yet.

It seems to be affecting things outside of PvP zones/battle spirit buff. My NB tank uses 5pc Kagnerac (V15 purple), 5pc Footman and 2pc Monster Helm (usually Malubeth), with 5 Heavy, 1 Light, and 1 Medium. I can barely tank vet dungeons now and get 1-shotted with 35k-45k hits from bosses. Previously all vet dungeons were a cakewalk, but since I switched to Kagnerac I can barely stay alive. Am going to craft a V15 purple 5pc (either Whitestrake, Lamae, or Twilight's Embrace set) and see if there's any significant difference.

hmm well i dont tank with kagnerac, but our healer use it and allways died without a reason.
This could be the Problem, that we cant do the 3th boss on vwgt lol....

Horros scale up you Base HP, if you have more he will deal more dmg.

I have been using the v16 gold Kagrenac's (5 light) for a few days in IC (sewer and districts, pve and pvp), old and new 4-man dungeons and didn't experienced anything absurd in damage taken. I don't change my gear much inside IC though, and if I do I would make sure the Battle Spirit buff was up. Im on NA PC AD if that matters.0

C'mon ZOS. There's a lot of grinding to do, and I really don't want my soon to be shiny new armor to be bugged- if it is I'll just choose a different set. It's taken a long time to acquire the mats from IC, and on top of that the gold mats aren't easy to come by.
Just getting a dev to look at it and see if it is bugged would be great...

FWIW, I have 4pc magnus on one bar, and 5pc on the other bar. When I zone with the 5pc bar equipped in IC/sewers/sometimes Cyrodiil proper, I lose my Battle Spirit. I haven't noticed it happen yet if I'm on my 4pc bar.GM of Fantasia

The repair costs for this set when I am in IC are the highest I have ever had. I did two runs, one with magnus & elf bane and then later on that night with KC 5 pc. I fought the same bosses, with the same sized group Died a few times with the magnus & my repair bill was around 500g.
With the kc set on, I died a few times, my repair bill was over 1200g.
I may be over thinking things but that really opened my eyes to this set being messed up. This only happens to me in IC.

ScruffyWhiskers✭✭✭✭✭Yeah, I had similar repair bills when grinding IC for my wonderful Wisdom whammy wham wham wazzles. I also melted like butter when fighting the Emolator and some of the other "elemental" type bosses. Thought it was because I was a vamp but I can see now other factors might have been involved.
Don't think it has been affecting my damage taken in Cyrodiil proper though as far as I can tell.0 -

✭✭Holy crap.... well, I took the plunge and made some nice V16 gold Kagrenac's.... just went to IC sewers and my god the damage i took was through the roof! It was fine in PvE zones... but as soon as I was in IC it was crazy.
Really not right at all.

Quaffio✭✭This hasn't been fixed yet on Xbox One NA servers.
This armor set seems to completely remove the 50% damage reduction you get from battle spirit when you are in the Imperial City. You get the 5000 hp and the reduced healing and absorption effects still, but that loss of damage reduction makes you so easy to kill.
I would suggest putting this set away until patch notes are released saying that the bug has been fixed.0 -

✭Just putting this out here: I have a full Kagrenac's Hope set (light armor) and I do just fine in IC and Sewers. I don't see any increase in damage for me (either from banner bosses /trash mobs / players).
I'm not sure if this helps hone the problem (I sympathize with you all), but this is AD character in Haderus, PC/NA0
